M	Mavis F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would give them zero stars if I could! Terrible service at Avis! First off - they made me sign a form upon pick up to confirm there were no damage / scratches on the car. When I got the keys and inspected the car, there were existing damage. I Had to go back to let the agent know and amend the form, otherwise I would have been charged for damage that was already there. Drop off was the worst because we were returning the car after hours and there was no lock box to leave the keys in. We happen to run into another renter returning the car and learned that the lock box at this location was broken into. There was no sign whatsoever advising people of this, and their “24 hour” customer service line did not work (dead dial tone). We had to come back the next day when this location opened to drop off the keys, which were extremely disruptive to our travel plans. The agent, Dereje, was rude and unapologetic about the situation at all, and was not helpful. Their manager isn’t at work until Tuesday, and they told me to call their customer service line if I wanted to make a complaint. Will not rent from here again.

The rental wasn’t cheap but it did include unlimited km’s and the Nissan Rogue was good on gas. Check in and out was fairly quick but I didn’t like how they asked a lot about where I planned on going and why.

She gave us some great recommendations to go for our long weekend trip. Our car was very clean and the pick-up process was very quick and smooth. Would rent again from this location!

Also, the car was comfortable, modern and had a small roof-window that could be opened which was excellent for wild animal spotting. It has been my best rental experience yet.
R	Rich Cowley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading some of the negative reviews left recently about the Avis Hornby Street branch, we were anxious about picking up our pre paid hire car. However , we arrived early but within 1/2 hour we were sitting in the car ready to go. The staff on the desk processed the paperwork promptly and professionally. There were a couple of questions asking if we'd like extra insurance etc. But nothing like the 'hard sell' that others had experienced. All in all a good experience from start to finish.

Booked a couple of cars over last few weeks - had a Hyundai Sonata and Mitsubishi Eclipse SUV - both cars were clean and felt great on the road :) Every car I had from Avis so far had a brush to clean windshield from snow - luckily never had to use it - but it is good to have an option :)

E	Edgar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last summer, while car rentals were scarce and overpriced, we managed to get a 3 day reservation at this Avis location in Vancouver for a reasonable price. The pick up and drop off processes were very straightforward; the staff on service was very diligent; and, we even got a nice upgrade! The only tricky thing was getting the car out of the parking spot since it was on a tight angle close to a wall and between two other vehicles; so, a little maneuvering was required.
