J	Jennifer Cochrane on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a car between Christmas Eve and dropped off this morning Dec 28th. Rented through hotwire and directed to deal with Avis on Dunlop St West in Barrie. My contract which was with Avis stated a $36.57 per day and 11 cents per km over. When I picked up the vehicle the woman at the desk stated that her little piece of paper says they will be charging me 15 cents per km. I showed her my confirmation email with the Avis logo and she said there's nothing she can do about it . On my return this morning the man behind the desk with an argument did honor the 11 cents per km but ended up charging me $47.99 per day instead of the $36.57 confirmed by Avis. I told him that price was wrong but he also said there was nothing he can do about it and that they were an independent dealer and the price on their computer is what they have to charge me. So much for honoring contracts. I went home and phoned Avis headquarters after being on hold an hour they said to me in 4-5 business days someone will be contacting me about this issue when it could of been resolved this morning in person. The car was good the customer service, organization and communication with a 3rd party booking site were very poor. If you are quoted a price a business should honor that price and not make you feel like an idiot .
A	Amellia Milla on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ZERO x 100 if were possible rented a car from them for one full day and they tired to say I was smoking in there car and it has scratched up the whole back end of there car witch is absolutely insane it was mud!!! That was there before I even took it off the lot (she’s said well why didn’t you say something? Lol BECAUSE ITS MUD NOT SCRATCHED) then said I was smoking in the car and I did not I always got out of the car to have a smoke because I knew what it would cost if I did there was styrofoam everywhere from moving boxes I even vacuum as a courtesy she said it never smelt like smoke either .. hummmmm?!?! And to boot said I never filled the tank but I did across the street!!! I would highly recommend not renting from this sad rental company as they will try and screw you over anyway then can!!!! And they have no customer service experience what so ever either! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY YOU WILL GET SCREWED OVER HARD!!! I should have read the reviews before renting from this place as should you! Be safe people keep your hard earned money and rent from a trusted car rental company.

I reserved the car 2 days before I went to pick up, I called the day of pick up to confirm that I was still good to pick up at the time that I needed, the person that answered the phone started giving me attitude and yell at me stating the car won't be ready till well into the day. I am not pleased as a customer.

Called Budget, who were open and provided a car on short notice. It's insane that a global company such as Avis lack the ability to cross reference bookings with store closures.
s	stygsftp93 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff have the worst attitude problem (if you hate your job, leave) and there are so many hidden fees. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. They make you pay for their insurance because they do not have collision on their vehicles, plus they make you pay a $200 deposit on your credit card. Plus they confirm your reservation, you show up, and they have no cars. Such a waste of time and energy, rent from somewhere else.
H	Harrison Black on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a rental for $50 I was told at the time of picking the car that there are other fees, even if you have other protection like CAA. I asked around, and other companies said you can't do that and it may even be illegal to force you to buy their insurance. when asking the woman working about it, she yelled the whole time, no matter the tone, probably should have been obvious with that and their lack of masks that something was up. They also don't tell you there are limited miles for your rental. Pretty scummy to drop these money grabs when its too late for you to book with a different service, after booking far in advance. They also do a $500 Credit card authorization, which is more normal but just as an FYI if anyone still wants to go here for a rental.
