I would suggest that the current drop off and pick up of students creates a dangerous and stressful environment for the surrounding neighborhood, the children, the parents, the police and the infrastructure. By insisting that all children 400+ must be in the building within a 10 minute envelope, and if they are not they are punished with late records pushes all parents and their children to stampede the school. I believe that the restriction for a ten minuet entry and exit is so the teachers or assistants do not have to deal with children in the school unless the teachers (assistants) are on the clock and resources are limited so access is limited. There are short term options and longer term options. Short term the entry and pick up times are dispersed over a 40 minuet period versus 10 minutes. Each student class would have their own start and end time. This, I believe will put an end to the stampede and punishments for those children who do not follow the current strict protocol.. Longer term: there is City of Calgary property beside the school, owned by the city and managed by Brookfield, look at redividing a portion of that property to maintain park amenities and function while accommodating pick up and drop off parking. The experience of bringing parents and concerned local residents into a meeting to yell, threaten and accuse does not accomplish anything, is there a current joint school, parent, community problem solving group? If not that is the first step. The current timing of student entry and exit is wrong, the limited space and the volume of people and vehicles is NOT WORKING. Looking forward to a working group that has some ability to make changes versus window dressing. Sincerely

Terrible school. The teachers pick favourites and Ms. Cooper, the one with black hair is an absolutely terrible teacher. She forced us to do yoga even though I wished not to participate and a kid pushed me against a wall and yet I was the one who got in trouble for defending myself.
