Zoolights event; I loved the feeling of being in a lit up park. The animations and all the decorations that was, the music tents, some dancing and food or beverages of varying choice. I didn't drink or eat the food, but it was a great experience. I arrived late close to 9pm and the music died down by 10, but the park remains open for awhile. There's warming fire pits managed by volunteers for those that get too chilled and need to warm up their hands. For $15 you could easily spend a couple of hours there and be entertained. I'd go again with more company

Always an enjoyable experience at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. So good to see the Polar bears. Although they were not in the water, they were visible through the glass featured walls along the walkway. We saw a beautiful playful display of two seals in the water; definitely a highlight. It began raining hard during our visit. My granddaughter was a trooper and enjoyed the umbrella wagon ride. The Kangaroos were not too eager to get wet so they stayed under their shelter. So cute. There's always a building to duck into to stay warm and dry.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes that are meant for long walks because this place is huge. You can buy the tickets online and skip the lines. They also have kiosks for the tickets onsite that only accepts credit or debit card. But the line for cash payments is long. Bring your mask with you because you'll need to wear them in enclosed spaces in the park. Otherwise, outdoor is great and a mask is not required. There are a few food trucks and water refilling stations here and there. Kids surely enjoy this place.

Very neat zoo but missing so much, probably because it's winter. Definitely lots of walking just to see a goat at some points...

Cute zoo. I'm sure it is busier in the summer. Runs look small for the animals. Dinosaur exhibit was pretty cool. We enjoyed seeing the seals and polar bears. The goats were adorable. Lovely staff who are very knowledgeable.

Great zoo, but lots of puddles and geese. Many animals are inside or huddled when it's cold out but got to see a few. Good day to see the fossils and robo dinosaurs without crowds.

Absolutely love the zoo! The emphasis is on Canadian animals which is great because it means most of them can actually enjoy the winters here. Highly recommend going in the winter for the best experience, less crowds, and the animals are way more active!

Glad to have visited this zoo where we saw a variety of animals in particular those from boreal and arctic habitats. Staff are nice and knowledgeable. We visited in the winter spring time and the outdoor pathways have horrible drain system not keeping paths puddle free. Will visit again but not in this season.
