Friendly and accommodating staff. Food is okay. Not a fancy place but that's just what I was looking for after work - a belly full for a good price. Went on a weekday so it wasn't busy. Would go again.

We have only been to Asian Buffet twice so far, but we will be sure to come again. This has definitely become my favourite buffet location. I am making a very detailed review because this place truly deserves it. The Rexdale locals know about this place that has been here for a long time, but if you are from outside the area like I am then here are my reasons why you need to check out this hidden gem. The restaurant has a very quiet and intimate setting. Other buffet locations can be so loud between the other guests and background music that you can't even hear the people at your table, but at Asian Buffet, you can speak to each other comfortably and peacefully. Their prices are still very competitive with other AYCE locations, priced lower than what Mandarin and many sushi restaurants now charge, and on par with Spoon & Fork's dinner price. The variety of food is great, and I find the quality to be very good on most dishes compared to other buffets. It's prepared better than what Mandarin serves with their now-bloated prices (and, unlike Mandarin, this location still offers buffet all week and all day). I have tried mostly everything here except for the pork dishes, but I am sure that those are prepared well also. I am looking forward to trying the lamb if I can make it on the day it is served, which I believe I was told is Friday but I could be mistaken on that. The cooking staff seems to put a lot of care into what they make. The hot table items are replenished very promptly and surrounding areas are constantly wiped clean for food droppings to make for a very pristine presentation. The seating area is also kept immaculately clean by the very attentive staff who make sure the area beneath the tables are cleaned of any scuffs and dirt before any guests get seated there. I am very impressed by this degree of care that is put in to maintaining cleanliness, especially in these uncertain times of Covid-19. As mentioned, the waiting staff are very attentive to your needs and will offer you refills when your glass is empty and take away your plates almost as soon as you finish the food on them. If I did have anything erroneous to comment on, it might be this one thing as some people may get a feeling that they are being watched while eating. However, this can't really be complained about because it is just very prompt, efficient service and some guests may find this to be a very good thing. I don't really have a problem with this and find the staff to be extremely friendly and courteous, but if you do find yourself to be the type of person that would be made uncomfortable by this level of attentiveness then I would suggest taking another table that isn't under the direct, watchful eye of where the staff stand in the centre kiosk of the restaurant. Again, they are just simply providing fast and attentive service and this is a very good thing, much better than being neglected by the servers like with what usually happens at Mandarin restaurants. I highly recommend coming to this place if you are looking for a nice buffet location (or even if you feel like ordering). I am sure this will quickly become your favourite like it has mine. There are many regulars that the staff know by name or remember the drinks they always get as soon as they come through the door. This is a place that truly cares about you having a quality experience and I will always come back to Asian Buffet for any special occasion or even just for a nice treat.

Price is good. Used to be amazing food .. since Covid quality really isn’t good. The chicken balls were very dry, overcooked noodles, lemon chicken didn’t taste like lemon chicken should, the sweet n sour chicken was batter and bone no chicken, and one of the chicken dishes didn’t taste or feel like real chicken. The hot and sour soup tasted funky … like something went bad. Anyways … used to be awesome. Didn’t enjoy anything except maybe the beef and broccoli.

Today was the first time I’ve ever been in this buffet and honestly the outside of the building is not really that appealing to the eyes, but trust me when I say it doesn’t matter. My girlfriend and I took a chance and it was worth it! The buffet is not the biggest but it is filled with lots of foods people would actually like to eat at a buffet. The food is delicious, full of flavour and definitely worth the price. The staff there was very friendly, professional and quick. Overall if you’re in Rexdale and I would definitely recommend this place over Mandarin 100% Me and my girlfriend left happy and full. I give this place 5 stars.

If you grew up going to any non-Mandarin Chinese buffets, then you already know the vibe here. Nostalgia feel and the food reflects the price you pay. Since the food sits on warmers, I find that the best times are right when they open or before dinner when they're replenishing the dishes. The staff are very welcoming and remembers their customers, which is always nice. I just like the relaxed atmosphere, particularly if I'm craving Chinese and don't feel like buying more than 1 combo to sample the different dishes.

TLDR: great value buffet to enjoy safely with the Step 3+ reopening. My 91-year old father missed going to buffets so I drove him when indoor dining reopened. I parked in a handicapped spot and instead of the indoor option, my father chose to sit at the outdoor patio, where an umbrella was set up for the sunny part of the table. The $15.99 all-you-can-order regular menu with 26 items is a good deal, plus a few dessert choices. There is a 20% discount for seniors & my father chose the $20.99 seafood menu with four additional seafood items. Service was great. I would love to come back and eat at the patio again.

This is one of my favorites buffets in the area, been coming with the wife for years. Great value for your buck and food selection is good for either lunch or dinner... You pick what you like! Staff is friendly enough and we always leave a tip. Not fancy or luxury but I never leave disappointed.
