About Asasa Private School Academy

Asasa Academy is a not-for-profit Calgary private school that was founded in 2009. We specialize in exceptional education for junior kindergarten, kindergarten, and elementary students. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors and the principle is the educational leader of the school.

We have two campuses in Calgary and offer a variety of programs at each. Our first location was in Pinetown, where we offer a half day junior kindergarten and kindergarten program accredited by Alberta Education. In 2011, we opened our Northmount campus where we offer full-day programs for junior kindergarten through to Grade 6.

At Asasa, we seek to provide children with an educational foundation which gets them excited about learning, with a special emphasis on language arts, math and technology. In addition to teaching the Alberta curriculum at an accelerated pace, we promote student leadership, character development, technological skills, fine arts appreciation and physical well-being.

My daughter was attending this school in 2013. We moved out of Calgary for some personal reasons and now we are back and visit school yesterday. Same people same level of respect and service. Very friendly and small school. I see in these reviews that some people have problem with this school. I am sorry people but my opinion is different about this school. I would say if you are looking to register your child here please visit them first and then make your choice. Sometimes other competitors write bad review just to damage the image. They charge very minimal fees to parents and provide very good education. Their building is small I don't think they can go beyond grade 6 due to capacity not because of paying more to teachers. I don't wish for any business to go out of business unless I have personal animosity with them. I am highly suspicious about few reviews here. If we have any problem we should go to the principal not the Board unless principal can not resolve the issue. Bad mouthing about Board members is unethical. If you want to see the Board members email them book an appointment they will see you. I did that when I lost my job and had to move lady from the Broad helped me a lot...

My son is always excited in the morning to go to school. It makes me happy to see that my son is learning and excited to learn more and love his teacher. Today i am writing this review because my son approached me today and said that loves going to school and he read me a story book, I am proud father. This credit goes to Asasa Academy and their teachers. I am satisfied that we made the right choice for our son's intellectual development.

Today I registered my daughter at ASASA academy its a very clean facility. Fees is very low and affordable they provide all the supplies and everything. We will only be sending a backpack and a snack how convenient. During my tour I saw kids reading and writing their names already. I observed their class for a while and amazed to see kids know their letters and numbers and so many rhymes. Teachers displayed their Art work on the walls looked amazing I am impressed to see that at such a young age kids are trained to do so many things.

My 2 kids go to this campus I am very pleased with them I wish they were all the way to grade 9. Their teaching style is very unique and kids way ahead than any other school. They teach kids high morals and good values all students are very polite. They are creating good citizens and high values.

Today I enrolled my daughter in grade 2 with Asasa I was so impressed to see the classroom and what kids were learning. They were so disciplined and respectful. All kids were in the classrooms and school was very disciplined and well organized. Quiet and clean hallways i could hear teachers teaching students and kids were quietly learning and listening to their teachers. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Above all they are very affordable fees is not high at all!! still they provide very good education.

My little brother has been going to this school for majority of his elementary experience, I can easily say that his sense of communication and english has improved drastically compared to other schools (english is his second language) His teachers have been extremely supportive and take time with his english which many teachers in the past had rushed it in order for him to keep up with the other students. I appreciate the fact that they care and take the extra effort in each student to make sure that they are set for academic success in their future. Though I have a few suggestions for the school to take into consideration, access to Physical education teacher would help promote the children to stay active and take a break from the long hours of focus. I understand that the martial arts program is very fun and exciting to many, but majority of calgary schools have access to physical education therefore I believe that this should be added. Nonetheless this is a great school .

My kids been attending NW camps since JK and we are very happy with the school, because of the small classes and effective communication with the teachers through the school's app. The only thing we didn't appreciate this year was the leaving of the teachers in the middle of the school year, almost 3 teachers left this year and kids had to re-adjust with the new teachers... fees are reasonable for the building and the facility from inside, NW camps is not a new building and has a very small windows! My kids really love the school and they go everyday happy & excited!

23 Feb at 17:22 I had an opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher at the Asasa Private School Academy NW campus. I realized that the school atmosphere was positive and classrooms were well managed and equipped with necessary resources. I found that the students were well-mannered and internally motivated for learning. The staff in the NW campus were very cooperative and helpful
