About Eckert Psychology & Education Centre
We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I went to ask about getting a psychoeducational assessment for our son. We paid for our consultation. The Psychologist who sat down with us was cold and came across as very judgemental. The "consultation" fee that you pay basically is a fee that you pay so that they can tell you how much the rest of the process is going to cost. We left feeling like we had completely wasted our time and money. I also wrote an email to the management about my experience and did not even recieve any response. I would not reccomend this place. We ended up going to the University of Calgary and recieveing an amazing thorough assessment by professionals for half the cost of this place with warm friendly staff who made our son feel welcomed.
