One of my favorite to go places in Muskoka! Absolutely beautiful park and views of Mayflower lake are gorgeous. 8km trail is light and we easy hike it with 4/5 years old. Lake is great for canoeing and swimming as well. Nice and quiet location!

Arrowhead is beautiful in winter. There is so much to do. Gorgeous hiking trails, snowshoeing, cross country and skating. Must book your reservation in advance to secure your spot. They book fast. Booking portals open at 7am and all spots are gone by 7:10am. Weekends are very busy. Staff is nice. Trails are clearly marked. Washrooms were clean. Our family loved it. Kids enjoyed alot. If you are looking for a fun outdoor weekend, definitely try arrowhead park. Thanks

Surprise proposal at Arrowhead during Fire & Ice! In order to visit Arrowhead Provincial Park + Fire & Ice skating trail, you must book 5 days in advance at 7 am. You must be on the Ontario Parks website at 6:50 am so that by the time the clock hits 7:00 am, you press book and you immediately proceed with payment. Tickets get sold out within the first 15 seconds after 7:00 am. Visit Ontario Parks-Day Use-Select + Fire & Ice. If tickets get sold out for the evening Fire & Ice, you can still book the day use and skate the trail during the day. We visited Arrowhead Provincial Park + Fire & Ice during an extreme weather alert. We were hoping to explore the area during the day then skate during the night. We underestimated how cold it really was. Bring extra pairs of socks. Thermal socks, wool socks, foot warmers. Winter pants, ski suits, ski bibs. The park officials were not strict with enforcement, however, I attribute that to the fact that because of the extreme cold temperature, no one wanted to go check the cars for permits. The park was not busy and there was no line up to enter the park as I read online that sometimes even if you have a pass, you could be turned back if the park reaches full capacity. Great experience, very cold. Bundle up & have fun.

Great park! It has several hiking and biking trails, a couple of lakes with beaches with a long shallow part (perfect for kids), and rentals. It also has a small store with mostly souvenirs, but also some essentials like wood, ice, mosquito repellents, packaged coffee etc. If you choose to camp here, keep in mind that regular campsites are available in different sizes - small, medium and large. On our medium size we could fit two family sized tents. They all have picnic table or even two, and a fireplace. There is also a comfort station, without laundry services though.

Large, treed and private campsites in the heart of Muskoka. Three sand beaches on Arrowhead Lake. Quiet motorboat-free lakes. 15 km of hiking trails; including a trail leading to a waterfall (Stubb's Falls). Rental canoes, kayaks, paddle-boards and mountain bikes during the summer season; skis, sit-skis, snowshoes, sledge and ice skate rentals during the winter Well-known for winter activities; cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, heated roofed accommodations.

I first visited Arrowhead PP in winter and it was magical. Was perfect weather with light flurries, and the snow was deep enough to need snowshoes so we had an enjoyable exercise. We rented cross-country skiing gear and gave it a try, and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a perfect place to spend a winter day, and it’s also one of the few Ontario provincial parks with rentals.

My daughter and I stayed in one of the roofed accomodations and had a wonderful stay. The staff at this park are especially kind and caring. The wardens patrolled regularly and we're professional and courteous. It was a longer drive from our home to come to this park but we will certainly return over other closer parks. Our friends recommended it to us and they were so right. Have a great visit.

Beautiful winter park. Ski trails are top notch, usually groomed to perfection. The arrowhead lake loop And beaver meadow loop are peaceful and very scenic. The ice trail is a gem. The fire & ice is a very cool experience. Be careful near the fire pits for uneven ice! Stubbs falls loop is a nice winter hike too This isn’t a secret - be prepared to book in advance if you want to get in!
