Argus Excavating Ltd

I've had bad experience with Argus Excavating. The company was hired by the street's strata committee for an installation of a sewer connection and septic tank demolitions. I have one positive point about the job and many negatives. Pros: 1. The company installed the septic pipes successfully and the sewage system is currently working. Cons: 1. During the course of the installation the workers plowed through my yard destroying all sprinkler lines and sprinklers in their path, and destroying a portion of the retaining wall by driving over it in their excavator. 2. Once the connection was put in place, the workers filled the dug-out trenches with sand, gravel, and a very thin layer of soil to cover it up. They could have marked the positions of broken lines, but instead thought it would be a good idea to just cover everything up. 3. Understandably, as the work progressed, some decor trees/bushes had to be removed, temporarily. However, upon completion all the removed bushes just disappeared and no attempts to put them back in place were made. 4. Communication with myself about any portion or plan for the project was non-existent before, during or after the project. There was no talk about the possibility of the above mentioned damages and about a plan of what could be done to minimize them. 5. The repair to the retaining wall was eventually made, but the job was poorly done so the damaged area still stands out to this day. 6. I was not informed about the broken sprinkler lines at any point of the project. That realization came after I had reseeded my lawn and switched on my sprinklers, just to watch almost none of them work. To sum up: The company simply did not care about what state they would leave my property at the end of the project and therefore, essentially, did not care about the customer. Argus Excavating got paid a lot of money to do this job and in the end, I just wish they didn't do anything at all. The job was pretty simple but somehow they managed to do a lot more damage than good. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Just awful.
