★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, our school doesn't care about the students with depression (as myself) and choose to say stuff like "Oh, you're fine." when we are obviously not. I have been in this school for 10 years - this being my 11th - and have wanted to move schools for about 5 of them. Now that I am almost graduating to high school, my parents are CONSIDERING to move me school. I have told them many many times that this school is the least safe place that I have ever been to (including downtown at night) for at least 3 of those years.
We don't even have microwaves to warm up our food! Like come on! Give us a break! What if we want some warm food on a cold day, eh? What are we supposed to get told "You cannot warm your food up in the nutrition room." and then have a frozen burrito in our lunch kit with nothing else? If I asked to warm up my food, I would get told "No." and then ask for an emergency lunch and get told "No, you just want to warm up your lunch. I wasn't born yesterday."!?
Honestly, I'd rather go to Lakeview then Arcola. Arcola has caused my severe depression for 6 years. For 5 years, I have bottled it up. My depression only snapped in December of 2017. Worst school ever. Get better teachers or something before you lose a student from depression.
