About ARC Climbing + Yoga

Yoga Team Taylor Clark

Taylor Clark

I was introduced to hot yoga during university but I didn’t start a regular practice until I moved to Sudbury. My preferred styles to practice include restorative, yin, vinyasa and hot power.  Generally speaking, yoga has taken me back to my “roots”. I grew up as a competitive dancer (favourite styles were ballet and acro); and being able to express myself through movement was always an important part of my identity. The physical practice of yoga has helped me navigate difficult times in my life and it has improved my relationship with my body and mind. I originally attended training to deepen my own personal practice; but I left with the interest to start teaching. What I enjoy about teaching is that I get to embrace a softer and more serious side of myself.  But mainly, yoga has made such a positive impact on my life, that I want to share it with others.

I am a certified Baptiste Journey into Power instructor and have been practicing yoga for over 5 years. My classes are designed to be strong and challenging, but adaptable to all skill levels. We’ll focus on moving with intention and finding ways to engage and play with our edge. My hope is that when you leave my class you are standing a little bit taller, embracing your power… and that your mat is covered in sweat!

Very fun experience. When I first got there, it was empty but then people started to show up later. The bouldering wall is a little small but still has a ton of challenges. Amazing staff and a solid community there!

Excellent facility for indoor climbing! Great knowledgeable staff members for climbing, yoga and fitness! Very friendly to beginners and a great place to hangout in a relaxed and social fitness oriented environment! Equipment is available to rent and for purchase. Climbing walls are updated every few weeks and it keeps the climbers motivated. If you want to take it to the next level, you must try the Lead Climbing lessons. Once you have had your share of climbing inside, make sure you go with a group to climb outside (when the weather permits..that is.. ☺) Hot yoga classes are excellent way to increase your flexibility and don't forget to warm up before climbing by making use of the training area provided in the NW side of the facility. There are ample change rooms, washrooms for both sexes and a wheel chair accessible washroom as well! A water fountain is provided to encourage use of environmentally friendly ways to stay hydrated! Ample parking spaces are available at the front and back of the facility! Overall, a great, well thought out facility for spending time indoors during any time of the season!

Came here awhile ago, but forgot to write a review. My girlfriend and I climbed here a few a times and also participated in their hot yoga class. The customer service was very welcoming and helped us with any of our questions. The climbs were diverse and had a good range for beginner ands intermediate. The Yoga instructor for the evening hot Yoga was great as well !

Great pricing for students and people there were friendly. I did some bouldering and tried the hot power flow yoga class with Ray - one of the most challenging classes I’ve done in a while (in a good way!). Left feeling sweaty and invigorated. Will definitely come back again!

Visits: 2 Cost: I don't remember I suppose when the next-closest gym is several hours of driving away, you might expect the maintenance to be a bit careless. But, amazingly, the gym is in great condition and the climbing is much better than what you might otherwise expect. It's a bit small, and the bouldering and the lead sort of lacks interesting features, but everything they try to do they do really, really well. The setting is quite good while it trends towards intermediate-level climbing. I get the feeling that they work really hard with what they've got. It's absolutely worth a stop to get some exercise if you're driving across the country - worth a stop if you live in Sudbury too!!
