About Arashi Do Martial Arts, Rutland Park
In 1985, Kyoshi Mike Bonde and Kyoshi Gary Vig started Arashi-Do with the goal of creating a family of skilled martial artists. Arashi-Do now offers programs in Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our black belts are known for exceptional physical skill, mental awareness and personal stability.
Arashi-Do Martial Arts has grown to over 20 locations across Alberta. Our schools are run by certified, professional martial arts instructors who receive ongoing training as teachers and martial artists.
At Arashi-Do, we believe the benefits of martial arts training are immeasurable. Arashi-Do is proud of our accomplishments but we are far more proud of the people we have helped to become the great representatives they are today.

The instructors are excellent and patient. The children learn valuable skills while having fun at the same time and is also fun for the parents to watch. We are looking forward to watching our son grow with Arashi Do for many years to come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great environment for kids - have had my son in class for 3 years starting at 5 years old. He's been breaking boards, sparring and learning to control his growing boys strength. My son met his best friend in class! I recently joined too and enjoying every class plus I'm losing weight! It's hard and fun. It's a very accepting environment, where everyone learns at different paces, and the Sensei's are always patient to teach. Many tournaments each year help to test your skills against other kids and adults.

Evaluation is honest and they have genuine expectations of the students performance prior to promotion. My son has learned a great deal of discipline and respect in the program that has transferred into other aspects of his life. Weekend tournaments are well planned and taken quite seriously by the students. This would be one of the most reputable places in Calgary for karate instruction.
