AQUA at Plaza 88

Have to constantly see this resident's trash pile on their balcony. Contacted management to do something about it, but it's like talking to a brick wall. Ugly. Trashy. Irresponsible.

Had a wonderful time living at this place. The location is really good as it’s close to restaurants, sky train station and grocery stores. The management is very professional, specifically Matilda and Rose were always super nice and helpful and I will definitely miss Mr Ali!

What impressed me is that Aqua offers certain interesting events for tenants. Just attended a Pictionary game and an egg Hunt with kids for Easter. Really had a great time at the events :) I appreciate the effort of the organizer of the events!

Amazing building w amazing owners, staff and tenants. Recently moved here from Ottawa, ON and my neighbours and building staff have made sure i've had the best time transitioning here. the board game night was a very good way to meet my new neighbours and spend time playing interesting board games and connecting w the residents. Looking forward to more events like that and my stay here as well. Highly recommend Aqua at Plaza 88 plus my name and fav number is 88 so it's just meant to be. If you were looking for a sign to move in here, well ya just found it. 88WAYY. Shout out to Andrea

We rented this place as it was close to grocery stores, sky train, saloons and any supply whatsoever needed for your daily consumption. While this was the most convenient thing around this building and the building itself was nice, it had the below concerns for which I wouldn't recommend a stay here. 1) They sell on their amenities which were closed due to covid indefinitely as they did not want to hire extra staff for cleaning. They just used it as an excuse to shut it down while they would give the reason for it to be our safety. 2) There was a power outage for a whole night without any previous notice 3) The rents are as expensive or more than what you can rent in Vancouver downtown, they just are at least $200-300 more than they should be. They justify it for the location, although it does not make sense. 4) The over all vibe from the management is very unwelcoming as if we live there for free. 5) They gave us a difficult time when we checked out after cleaning every bit of the house. They justify it saying they expect the cleaning to be the same as it was when they gave the condo. But the truth is, it was given to them with better cleaning. There are some things like glass and refrigerator which can show finger prints, ofcourse it will irrespective of how much you clean...they will just cut some from your deposit for cleaning fees. Not justified again. 6) They still ask for cheque payment when the world has moved towards digital. You need to keep an extra action item every month end on your list to go and drop the cheque physically. 7) The walls are made of cartons, you have to save them with your life. 8) Wyse charges 25 $ extra per monthly bill 9) Other than paying the high rent you need to pay for all the other things like water, heat and parking extra. 10) Their leasing breaking also comes at a very high cost, so once you sign it you cant even think of compensating for whatever urgent/considerable reason. Overall experience feels like a rip off and we couldn't wait for the lease to end. There are a lot of other buildings with better value in lesser cost. The crux is if you have a car then there is no point living here. The only good part were the views from balcony, but they were not worth taking all the above problems. Rentals should be helpful, should not be a monthly pain point to think of.

It’s a great place! Two amazing differentials: pet friendly( and when I say this I meant to! I have 4 cats!), and super fun nights organized by Andreea! So much fun and a really good time to make friends when you are new in town. About the elevators, yes I understand is complicated sometimes, but at least for me it’s not a big deal.

I really liked living in this building! Location is great, as i dont have a car. Its near 2 supermarkets, and a few steps from the skytrain. Being Downtown New west, you have a great choice of restaurants and other necessities. The people that work in the building (front office, cleaning crew and in office management) is really polite and nice! I never had issues! Special shout out goes to Rose, as she helped me with the move in inspection and the move out inspection. And as always, she was a pleasure to deal with! The appliances are of great quality and having Washer and Dryer in unit is a huge plus! It is a bit expensive, but that's a general rule for Vancouver. So all and all its in the average of other condos. Only negative for me is the lack of oven in the Studio unit. But I would definitely live here again if relocated to New west.

Aqua at Plaza 88 is a great place to live, and I'm glad of the choice I made to move there. First, the location is perfect. The proximity and direct connection to the New Westminster Skytrain Station with its grocery, restaurants and many services save me lots of time to get what I need—all of which are located right beside the beautiful heritage downtown and River Market area. In regards to the units themselves, they are well built and include quality appliances. The amenities are kept clean, and compared to previous locations I visited before; they are pretty competitive in size, variety and design. When it comes to the management, my interactions with them have always been courteous as they display good communication skills. A while ago, I requested a repair to a kitchen appliance, and the service I received was timely and professional. The overall ambiance is friendly, and most of the time, security personnel is on-site, which contributes to a sense of safety in the building. Aqua feels homey to me, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent and well-located place to call home in New Westminster.
