Bought another suit recently at Harry Rosen, their tailor completely ruined the shoulder/upper back. Ended up taking it to Antonio's, they completely fixed it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m going to say ‘disreputable.’ In brief, I saw ‘James,’ who I assume now runs the place, regarding the sale of equipment in person and then emailed him the next day to confirm that it was still available. He had even replied a couple times. I was ready to go pick it up immediately, but he replied to come pick it up at the end of the day at HIS request, from which anyone would consider that a deal was made. He then sold it to someone else before I came. That’s what my experience was; I won’t say what others said after I asked around. Unfortunately I had rented a car to get the equipment, too. From what I see from other reviews elsewhere, his conduct extends into his alterations business, too. Bad business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the worst experience. I bought a jacket from a store in Yorkville and they suggested I do the alteration at Antonio's. I went there to drop it off and the man told me it would take 10 days and would be 150 dollars (alter the shoulders and add 5 hook closures). I came back after 11 days and the woman there could not find my jacket. It took me sifting through all the items there until I found it myself. And to make things worse, the alteration was not even done. She wasted my time, with no apology. I took my item on collar street to have the same alteration done. They charged me 75 dollars, for 1 week service and were very friendly. I would tell all to stay away from Antonio's. Worst customer service I have ever had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience with this tailor shop. When I brought a dress there to be altered, they gave me a date to pick it up. When I called to confirm it was ready, James seemed confused, said he would call me back which he never did.
When I did pick it up and tried it on at home, it seemed as though he never even touched it. When I brought it to another seamstress, she fixed it for half the price that he had charged me and said that no tailor had ever touched it (there were no additional seams on the dress).
When I went to confront him, he was defensive and rude and only gave me 50% of what he charged me back.
Avoid at all costs.
