Mentioned to the guy behind the counter that I was having issues with my Remington 597.
He recommended some Remington golden bullet.
I finally had a chance to go to the range tonight and what a wonder they are just the ammo that this riffle loves no issues what so ever.

Not to mention a better price point than "the big box stores."

So I've been back several times, and I still love this place. I probably love it more. As my skill set has gotten more advanced, I'm still able to find what I need here, and receive industry advice on what's coming / what to expect for my requirements in the future.

He's mounted my scopes, helped me pick out my Vortex binos, or any accessories I needed. Next buy will be a rangefinder and he's already offered to order it in if I can make up my mind. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meant to leave this review much much sooner, but had a great experience, I bought a old SKS for a bit of fun, but before that Larry was happy to take the time to let me check out a bunch of other firearms first, never felt rushed or anything like that, despite me not buying a "high ticket" item. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy, none of that "elitist", or just generally annoyed vibe you get from other hunting stores. Prices are fair, his selection of products is the best I've found in the area, he often has stock nobody else has.
Honestly, got me excited about the sport again. I was feeling pretty down after the clear disdain our government holds for firearm enthusiasts, and the stores local to me had guys that just seemed to want to complain, which totally fair, but pretty negative, it was a breath of fresh air to find this store, felt like a hunting store experience you got before the ban and covid stuff.
Only place I shop, absolutely worth the drive out.
