Anoush Shawarma Concord

Issa NO Anoush! I mean I should be a little more compassionate but when you spend close to $15 on food you kind of get the right to just tell it like it is- after all I bought one of their premium items. So I made the choice to try this place out after willfully ignoring it for maybe the past 5 years. It's kind of hard to learn towards this place when you have it nested right between St. Louis BBQ and old faithful Subway restaurant. As you would expect I come in and I see that I am the only one (not complaining I really don't like lines or indecisive people :P) I was greeted by a very energetic young man who took my order for a mixed shawarma plate. I looked at the vertical boiler to ask if they had beef and he reassured me that they did. Still slightly hesitant I continued with my order with the hope that the beef would be taken from a pre-shredded warmer area. Suddenly an older man came into the scene and began to chime in and re-ask me about toppings which I already told the younger guy "no thanks" to which was a bit confusing. Both of them were really pushing for me to order the quarter chicken which looked like it had been made 6 hours from my arrival. They even went to the extent to say that it tasted the same in which I just shook my head. Fast forward to the taste ladies and gents- portion size was great but taste was disappointing. The yellow rice seemed to be slightly hard from being kept in their warmer. The beef but of course was not the succulent cut of protein that had a grill taste but rather some artificial beef shavings with no seasoning which hid in the mix of the shawarma meat. Granted its the pandemic I think it would be best for the owner to downsize the menu in order to just specialize on certain items instead of try to sell everything and come up short. The title of the review says it all issa no for me Anoush.

Fair portion of Shawarma , $9 with pop . Taste was better than average . Not very filling . Server was in a rush . Lady at counter was polite and wished everyone nicely . Was good over all but lacked the punch to get 5 star . I would give 3.5 but not 3 or 4 .

Today April 12th, 2022 around 6pm, after having a sandwich from neighboring SUBWAY, I've noticed this Anoush Restaurant for the first time, so I went inside to take a printed menu for the future. As soon as I entered the store I smelled INDIAN Food, so i told the worker behind the counter "isn't this a middle eastern rest? he said yes , so I asked why does it smell like an Indian restaurant (which I go for , when I feel like it). What comes next was shocking. That employee which identified himself as Lebanese "without me asking" then he asked me what nationality I was. I refused his question then he said the following " here you will get good food , and you should watch your mouth when talking about Lebanese food " I was shocked , I told him he has a big mouth and lacks discipline and he shouldn't address his customer with such disrespect, and left. Of Course this shows the fragile internal training of this franchise and of course I will never set foot in such franchises again. There are many many many Franchise that deserves my visit.

I keep passing by this place and decided to give it a try, not good at all but not completely nasty... but the worse part was the pita bread fell apart so quick made a whole mess and it just ruined the meal.

The lady wasn’t wearing any gloves and didn’t even wash her hands when she was touching the pita breads. It was super disgusting. I will report this place because they’re not following any protocols. She didn’t even have any head covers or hats to stop her hair from going to peoples food,

I was walking by their shop and could smell the delicious food. I went to continue to St Louis for a beer and was asked by a bright young gentleman to try their cuisine. Very glad I did; delicious Shwarma, excellent pricing and delightful service. Thank you again Anoush MEC; I will gladly come back to this location near millway North Vaughan.

Great place to get some shawarma from and the workers are friendly. Prices are also good. I also enjoy the garlic potatoes
