★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a single dad of 3 year old twin boys. I got a job at Anipet in February as a Supervisor. All the employees seemed to enjoy their jobs and seemed happy. In my 2nd week I had to take a couple of days off as one of my boys was really sick to the point of going to the hospital with symptoms Of Measles. Turned out to not be. Thank god. But I was told to come back when I get in the clear. I phoned and told them it was a false alarm for measles and that I would be in the following day. So I finished my shift and was posthumously let go at the end of it. And I had a doctor's note in my pocket.
My boys health shouldnt cost me my job, when I get the job in the first place to take care of them. Ii was also told when I started that it would take me months to learn the job. I was there for 2 weeks. And did make mistakes and I feel the expectation of me was more than I was led to believe. Had I known this was going to happen I would not have made some choices that set me back.
Was not a fair way to deal with such a situation. Was very disappointed in that. My current job is far more understanding thankfully landed on my feet.
