Anderson Point Campground in late August is awesome. Fewer insects, great weather, cool mornings, and a quiet campground (kids are back in school!). Well worth the trip. Lots of hiking nearby such as Jacobson Bay, the Fire Tower Trail, and even trails that enter Prince Albert National Park (Waskesiu). Great amenities nearby with canoe, kayak, and boat rentals. Anglin lake is roughly 8-10 feet deep, so very few high power boats are on the water, making for a very peaceful stay. The campground is extremely clean and has a lot of pride in it from the Great Blue Heron Provincial Park staff. Anderson Cabin is a very nice added touch of history to this campground and is within walking distance of ant campsite at Anderson Point Campground. Highly recommended for campers, tenters, outdoor enthusiasts, kayakers, canoers, and anglers. Don't forget that you're in bear country and come prepared! We never saw a single bear, but traces of them while hiking. Bear bells and bear mace are a must, but are well worth the extra effort to see the beauty this park has to offer. Less traffic and not as touristy as Waskesiu, but still has the exact same appeal!

We enjoyed the sheltered large camping spot we were in. The beach was fairly nice. Wood was supplied . We did some hiking on the trails.

The water was so calm. Perfect paddling weather. The yurt was also very cozy and warm. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful quiet provincial park campground. Sites are well treed and private. Only 60 sites. Paved roads right to your site. Walking distance to Anglin Lake. Beach and boat dock are very close. Nice, clean facilities. A few waking trails around campground.

13$ reservation fee when you drive there and have to go online is ridiculous. I’m not reserving anything I showed up and took an empty site.

Awesome campground, will definitely visit again! Sites are large and very private with trees and brush between sites. Overall the campground is very well kept and quiet. There are some newer amenities including a nice playground area and the bathrooms clean. There are hiking trails within the campground and an interpretive trail that goes to the historic Anderson Cabin.
