Ed was very professional from first contact (over a long-weekend!) to the day of the Buyer Inspection. Service was seamless, and my first time home-buyer client appreciated Ed's final walk-through at the end of the Inspection. Final report was quite detailed and complete. I would recommend Ed to anyone looking for a thorough Home Inspection.

The Guy who will rename nameless was great as far as seeming to know how. Unfortunately, friendly service was not what we were paying for. 3 Days after moving in, we had to replace all of our main plumbing and pressure tank due to a flood that surrounded our basement. According to the plumbers a lot of things were overlooked and missed. Simple things such as plumbing caps, to ensure water doesn't drain or flow into the room, piping was below scale, not large enough for the pressure of the tank, the list goes on. In the long run paid over $750 for the inspection and an additional $3000 to have all plumbing refined and updated to code. So almost $4000 dollars needed to fix issues that should have been recognized by even the most basic of inspections. Not to mention our finished basement has now been torn apart and has to be redone from flooring to drywall. We'll leave it there as we could go on, but we feel that is enough to make a decision on. A new addition to the lack of professionalism experienced through this company. Just found out after having a roofing company come evaluate our upper level deck/roof inform us that the prospective estimate given by the great people of Amerispec was substantially worse than we we initially estimated. During our inspection questions arose about the durability and possible need of repair on this section of our newly purchased home. Of which we were quoted an estimate of a $3-4000 repair. After having the roofing company come have a look at the same issues mentioned during our inspection it turns out the repair bill will in fact be between $20-25000. As you can see a substantial difference of almost $20000 dollars that we could have had cut from our purchasing price. So once again, a little more information for anyone to go off, before ever considering this company for a home evaluation. And to top it all off since posting these reviews we have had nobody contact us, nor show any concern of the unprofessional service we received. Nor have we received even a refund for our inspection. All in all, don't use this company, as it will cost you more when all is said and done. We are now paying more than $20000+ out of pocket because of Amerispecs lack of professionalism.

I would not recommend this company. We are now into the 4 th month and our file still has not been completed. We get excuses every time I call from having too much work and not enough staff, to person handling my file is on holidays and no one else can work while she is away to the web site down and we have new system that we are being trained. Few of our friends went through other service provider and they had no issues. Extremely slow service and no supervisor/manager/owner to talk to.

AmeriSpec is a franchise store. The quality totally depends on the local branch. Some of their branch may be good, for example the Toronto branch, and some are horrible, like the one I interacted with -- the York Region branch. They are slow, unprofessional, and incapable. When you leave a message to them asking some questions, expect no one to get back to you. You won't be able to track your application status either. If you're here for home improvement energy rebate, expect to wait for a year to get your cheque or never. Always ask for a reference from a person you trust before proceeding.
