Firstly they spend 1 hour just to find the issue as to charge 1 hour pay and after i told them where should they lookup and after that they just disconnected the wires and charged me $150 just for that and even next day my car started giving another problem from that day and i called them and they just said they don’t have time for one week. And the staff was so rude to me, they were like i did something to my own car. At least they should have spoke nicely to me after their fault but the guy was like we don’t have time to see your car. Please don’t visit them. They’ll definitely charge you guys 1 hour extra like just for checking what’s the issue even after customer said what’s the issue, where’s the issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi all. I took my 2013 VW cc here last week of February, to get a tune up and wheel bearings done. Martin is a great guy and very helpful. My car was finished the same day and for 200 less than was quoted. Honest and fair would be two good words to describe Martin and his business. Thanks to Martin and his team at Alvey motors. Any further repairs will be brought here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, this is not a shiny glass and mirrors show room garage. It smells like a garage, it's dark and oily, and above all it is staffed by a real mechanic who knows how to fix real problems and not just tune variable settings in firmware (although he can do that as well).
They also can manage to repair actual parts instead of the "drop and swap" method that the dealerships like to use. Service is friendly and not in any way condescending.
The main guy there, Marty, is an experience as well -- knowledgable and always willing to spend as much time as required with the customer and the car to get things done right. He might appear intimidating (imagine a giant Elvis), but he really is quite friendly. And the prices are reasonable as well. HIGHLY recommended.

My Audi A4 started making a light squealing noise and idled rougher than usual. I was worried as I still had half of the country to traverse in the middle of winter.
He saw me first thing in the morning on a fully scheduled day. Took a good look and assured me the vehicle was safe to drive and that the ac converter should be replaced soon, but I should be ok to continue my journey.
If you’re looking for an honest and trustworthy mechanic come to Alveys! He and his wife are very kind.
