Kevin began his accounting career before making the commitment to formalize his training with the CGA designation. He has experience running several different businesses – he knows what it is like to be a small business owner! After working at a large, well-respected, CGA firm in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories for 8 years, he became a CGA in 2008. Kevin, and his young family moved to Alberta in 2009 after accepting a position with Tracy’s firm. Kevin went into public practice himself in 2011, but remained in contact with Tracy. This ongoing, successful working relationship led to Kevin “coming back” and the creation of Alvares & McLeod LLP in 2014.
