Rushed our mortgage application and managed to get it in on the last day of a promotion Alterna was offering. My wife and I are now enjoying a 2-year 2.19% fixed, thanks to her incredible hustle that afternoon!

One specific teller is consistently rude for no reason, does not explain policies that are completely different at this branch vs other Alterna branches. Nearly refused to let me access my savings after I hadn't used it for a couple years... Even had the gall to ask if I "really wanted the money"!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am from the UK and was the Banks Street Branch to deal with my deceased Dad's affairs. Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional member of staff. Using a tone of voice as if I don't understand and almost felt like she was questioning my intelligence. I had the authority to deal with my Dad's affairs and I live in the western world and am fully aware of what Banks should be able to provide. Thank God my Dad's account had been closed.
