D	David Lloyd Martin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Valley Trail is nice on its own or as part of a loop route. Combined with MENZIES Trail you can do a loop hike of just over 10k and I also like to combine as a loop trail from the Corral up Mike Lake trail to the road and down and back on valley trail (again just over 10k). Winds through amazing wooded areas basically parallel to the Parkway but often out of earshot from traffic. Merges for a bit with SPIREA and becomes a bit convoluted toward day use area. Some creek crossings which can be a tad tricky when water is high. I've gotten wet feet a few times. A walking stick helps a lot. Enjoy safely and have fun!!
S	Scrubbed on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meanders near and far from the road, crossing several bridges. Used this trail as a Mike lake loop hike. Well maintained, mostly flat, and since many people just drive this stretch, no one around. A couple trails depart from it providing more opportunities for exploration.
B	B Craig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was another puppy hike longer than the last. A loop that should have taken us to the upper falls for Gold Creek but we missed turning off for it. So about 10k with us grinning through 9k of it. Realized we were tired and getting sore feet for the last k. Half was wide easy trail with clean water crossing it everywhere, that was East of the creek. Shortly after we crossed the bridge to the West side and headed back towards the parking area the terrain and trail changes to steep narrow and complex. There is even a spot where steps were drilled and broken into the rock. There is one spot in that section with an amazing view of the creek and mountains.
