★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'll update this review pending legal resolution. Needless to say I did not have a good experience with Almaleki Developments with whom I had the contract and then a baseless lien in both me and my lawyers opinion. Ross Construction did the (poor quality) work.
If you look online in the court of queens bench name search you'll see that Almaleki has sued two other clients, and both have countersued for more. Almaleki has threatened to sue me as well despite the fact that I have overpaid them based on the numbers they themselves provided me.
To give you an idea of their attention to detail; they placed foundation piles a full foot off and then came to me begging, and demanding, more money because they failed to notice before singing the contract that there were already houses built next to my lot and now they would have to truck away the excavation dirt and use a concrete pump, for which they claimed drove them $10k over budget and they were losing money. Everyone I've told that to is speechless that Ross / Almaleki didn't due their due diligence on such a basic and obvious fact.
When I asked Almaleki if knowing there were already houses next to my lot was his responsibility and under his control he said "No, not at all actually." So this is the kind of person you would be dealing with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired Almaleki Developments to build a custom home for my family in Headingley. My family and I interviewed a number of builders and decided to work with this company because of their client focused approach to building. Throughout the entire build we were notified of mile stones, invited to tour the progress of the house and treated like a part of the team and not just another client. My home was built on time and approx $60,000 cheaper than if I went to competing builders. I am super happy with the quality of my home, attention to detail and value I received working with this builder. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.
