L	Lelani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our experience with this company was great at first. We requested a quote and weren't expecting to hear from them until at least a week later because they said they were busy - but that very same day we were told they had come by to have a look and provided a quote. Since we were unsure about the health of our tree they even offered to return in a couple of weeks once the leaves have grown in to re-assess, which they did without a prompt. Simon impressed us with his quick responses and assistance. We decided to go ahead with the work Simon quoted and were told to call their office to make payment and arrange a date for the work to be done. This is where the problems started happening. We were greeted by an automated answering service and were put on hold for at least 30 minutes and eventually it disconnected us. We tried numerous times to call back and were met with the same automated greeting and waiting on hold. We then contacted them on Facebook through FB Messenger and explained the issues we were having and asked for an alternate method of contacting them. Message had been read but no reply. Definitely not a great experience. Communication is lacking, at least from the office end of things. We do not recommend dealing with this company.
d	dmacnlx on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alliance were cutting diseased elms on our bay a few weeks ago. They didn’t post any signs to advise ahead of time. I asked if I should move my car just as they were firing up the chainsaws. I was told No, my car was not in the way, so I went about my morning. A short time later I looked, and they’d cut several trees on both sides of our property, and our car was buried in sawdust and branches. I called the company to ask what their notification policy was, but no one ever replied. When I tried to talk to the workers, they couldn’t have cared less. I was told whoever informed me my car was fine should have told me differently. They then tried to use their blowers to blast the branches off the car. From what I saw that day, these guys do a hack job. I get that if they’d posted signs, and I’d just left my car there anyway, I’d be at fault; but I was literally standing on my front step, asking if I needed me to move when they first fired up their chainsaws. From what I’ve seen, Alliance is just a big company with big city contracts, and don’t care how they do the job long as they cut what they need to cut. If someone from the company had bothered to call back and say this isn’t the way they do business I’d be a more charitable, but from what I’ve seen, they’ll get the job done, but don’t care about whatever residual damage they might cause.

Simon has come to my house a few times over the years for estimates and to answer any questions or concerns I have about my trees. He has never made me feel rushed and in fact takes the time to explain and educate me on what I need to do to keep my trees happy and healthy. Even the guys that come to do the follow-up work required are friendly, polite and a pleasure to deal with.

They were able to fit us in quickly, and they did an efficient job of removing the tree and stump, and cleaning up afterwards. Crews were as always good natured and professional, a pleasure to have them work for us.

They actually did more than I expected as they identified some other things that were going on with some of our other trees and took care of them too while they were here.
