Charles Ricard has an exceptional team of young, highly skilled plumbers. We did everything including installing a high efficiency boiler, natural gas lines and appliances, all code compliant rough-in plumbing to delicate fixture installation and finishing work. Louis-Charles, Ian and Ryan are all conscientious, highly capable and polite. We’re very satisfied and we highly recommend their services

Please stay away from this company. You cannot count on them. They not only do not admit their mistakes, they also actively try to avoid you and put it all back on you. Here is what happened to us: We had a bathtub faucet leakage just before the holidays. Then we called these guys. They then confirmed our service call to replace the faucet for Jan 8th, 2021. Based on the confirmation, we hired contractors to fix the ceiling on the 9th. Come January 5th, we called to confirm the service, these guys said and we are quoting "we dont see you in the system, and we do not have anyone available". Their dispatcher "Charles" was the one handled our case, and he has been "dealing with emergencies" for 2 days now, doing everything to avoid us. Again we are quoting their receptionist "you can keep calling, we dont know when he's going to be available." If you need reliable plumbing services, please do whatever you can to avoid these guys.

We deeply appreciated their professionalism. After years of flooding problems, they provided the solution. Their employees were courteous and efficient. COVID made things difficult, but they kept in touch and eventually everything worked out very well. I would highly recommend them!

It’s my first time calling professional plumbers, so I do not have any comparison to make. Because of that, I’ll be factual, and you can make up your feeling from here. There was a leak in my basement, coming from the ceiling. I found out where it was coming from, removed my dishwasher, kitchen cabinet and opened the wall to reveal the fautive pipe. I took several pictures and sent them to Allard&Ricard by email. Stephanie (client support and internal projects) replied and told me they looked at the pictures, and that the 4-in cast-iron pipe shown in them needed to be changed (I was impressed that they could tell it was 4-in from the pictures. Pro!). Full diagnosis from pictures. She also gave me the fees for a call like this: 69$ admin fees, and then 102$/hr. The two plumbers arrived almost on time, 30min past appointment time. The place was ready for them, but they were not. Even though they said, days earlier, that the 4-in cast-iron pipe needed to be changed, something important was not in the truck: a 4-in pipe. Bummer. Alan (one of the two) drove back to the office, and came back 45min later (even though, according to Google Maps, the office is 4.5km away from my place). Work could finally start. They had to saw the cast iron pipe, take it out, and put the new one in. While they protected my counter and my dishwasher (that was just next), they forgot to cover my double sink, which ended up eating hot metal sparks (from cutting the cast iron), and getting rust points. I discovered that days later, my bad for not inspecting properly. The sink will have to be changed, damaged. The pipe got replaced, and a bit less that 3 hours after they arrived, I was left with a 900+$ bill, which included a 180$/hr rate for Alan (waiting for a reply about the difference with the announced 102$/hr fee). The price charged for the materials seems fair. Was my problem fixed? Yes. Will I call them again? Not sure.

VERY SATISFIED! We had to replace the corroded ancient valves and poorly installed plumbing in our old unfinished 1927 basement. The technician, Ian, was courteous and did remove his boots every time he had to go outside to his truck. He did an impeccable job. We have been dealing with Allard et Ricard for many years (gas furnace maintenance, powder room and total kitchen renos). They are courteous and care about their customers. This company is a keeper, we would not think about going anywhere else.

HAd to replace a lead water entry. Complicated job as the water pipe ran under the garage floor. They did a great job, employees polite, on time, competent and went above what was needed; they had to coordinate with excavator. the whole job was done in a day and very professionnaly.

We manage 40 buildings around montreal and laval. I think Allard and Richard are the best plumbing and heating company in town. All their plumbers are well trained and always absolutely finish the job before they leave the site. They have always saved the day for us.
