I had the most amazing time with Stacey! I've never had my hair colored before so the whole experience was very new to me. Stacey was super friendly and knew exactly what I wanted. Below is my hair vs the picture I gave for reference. It took about 4 hours, but totally worth it!

Booked a stylist but had my appointment changed without any prior notification - only learned about it upon arrival. Decided to cancel it but had a very unpleasant experience with a salon administrator/manager. Suggest avoiding this place.

I don’t know what happened to this place, but I won’t come back ever again and I feel like other clients of album hair should be aware of the changes. Before I’ve been going to Madison and everything was great, sadly she left and I booked with Nadia. It all started odd when I came in, both people at the reception barely paid any attention to me no hello, nothing, and when I awkwardly tried to make a small talk about changes to the salon a girl just replied with “idk I’m new here”. I guess they were having a bad day. The vibe with Nadia was off as well but I decided I could live with that at the moment. I tried to tell Nadia what I wanted - I’m not a stylist and I wasn’t sure she understood me, but she proceeded to mix the colours really fast. She didn’t tell me what colours she’s mixing or showed the examples like Madison always did, she just told that it will be “light brown”. Overall she wasn’t too interested neither in my hair history (I have different porosity due to previous perm and bleach so I figured a new stylist needs to know this? no?) nor in the pictures I was showing. I specifically showed her the references with partial balayage and light front pieces placement I wanted, and I ended up having absolutely no highlights around my face somehow. I got a very mediocre balayage that has nothing to do with what I wanted, which is a very disappointing result after 4 hours and 500$. I feel like she was rushing to wrap up at the end of a very long day, so as everyone did - I was literally still in the chair getting my hair blow dried when the girls from the front desk finished to clean the salon and started wiping the floor under me :D This was the first time after going to the salon that I immediately put my hair in a bun as I left. I’m a very quiet person and I rarely make a scene or express discontent, so I was polite, paid the fee for everyone’s time and I will be fixing my hair elsewhere.

Asians especially should avoid booking with Stacey. I'm a really unsatisfied and disappointed customer. Spent $330 to get my virgin hair balayaged only to be the same colour it was before I got my hair treated. And I received terrible customer service. Stacey was condescending, gaslighting, and interrupted me while I was talking to shout at me. All my life I've been complimented on my natural dark brown hair, as Asians usually have very black hair. I went in for my first ever hair dye appointment, and asked Stacey for a bronde or a dark ash blonde balayage. Stacey told me I was a natural Level 4 at our consult and that we would aim for a Level 7. The entire consult felt rushed. Stacey explained the process of dying my hair in a very condescending tone, for example, "it's basic colour theory". She listened, but didn't hear what I wanted. After every few words I said, she interrupted me to tell ME what I wanted. I thought ok, I'll just leave it to the expert. But I should've left at that point. At the end of the appointment, I was clearly unhappy with my hair. It was plain on my face. I didn't want to cause a scene and argue with her, so I paid and left. I called Album the next day or two to let them know I was unhappy and wanted a fix. Unfortunately, it was Stacey that picked up. She said she would tone it for free, but again, was very condescending. She also got more and more frustrated when my work schedule didn't allow me to be free during the time slots she had available. "Your last possible date is this." That worked out. Why did I subject myself to this toxic customer service again? I went in for my fix and she was gaslighting me and blaming me for agreeing to a warm brown in the initial dye appointment, which I did NOT. She also made up that during the consult we talked about warm brown versus ash, which we did not. She then also blamed my natural hair, now telling me that "Asians have black hair" and that I was a Level 2. She told me that "Asians cannot get that light hair after one session". FYI Stacey, not all Asians have Level 2 black hair! Refer to the first part of this review where she said I was a natural Level 4. After the ash toner, she asked me if it was better and I said yes, because it's back to my natural colour now which I like more than the warm orangey brown from the first appointment. Stacey said "UH, that is NOT your natural colour, you were a Level 2 or 3". I showed her a picture of my natural hair and she completely shut up. Thanks for nothing but a hole in my wallet and damaging my hair. Bleached my hair for no reason.

My hair was a gingery red when I arrived at the salon. Prior to this appointment I spent months getting my hair light enough to achieve this colour. I booked an appointment here to have it touched up walked out of the salon in tears. The stylist had dyed my hair brown. After hundreds of dollars spent getting my hair lightening prior to this and many hours my hair was ruined. And my hair was in no state to go through another full bleaching. I’ve always been quite insecure about the volume of my hair so I wear extensions and they’re unwearable due to how dark she dyed my hair. I spent the entire night crying so my partner pushed me to call and at least ask for a refund as I paid well over $300 to have someone ruin my hair. After exchanging emails and pictures of how bad my hair was I was told a refund is not possible but I could come in an have the same stylist fix my hair. However I was told this wouldn’t include any lightening or it would cost extra… stay clear of this salon.

I tried my best to not be a total Karen about this but truly the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. Worse than the service itself was the treatment from the owner, Dat, who shows no care for the salon's customers who are paying a hefty price for his services. I would strongly advise against booking an appointment there. Seven hours and $380 later, this is how my hair turned out. After 2 weeks of chasing down the owner, Dat, he was super rude and condescending. He told me I signed their "chemical release form" fully aware that they are not able to offer refunds and that i received a discounted service - he told me this would have cost $800 normally which is actually absurd. Dat explained they had video footage of me saying i was happy with the hair right after the service was complete..which i thought was very strange to use as a reason not to provide customer service after a client went home and took a look at their hair out of the salon environment. I imagine I'm not the only person who finds it difficult to tell someone they did a horrible job right away... I would save yourself the time and energy I have wasted trying to deal with this salon. My hair was left hilariously hideous, and it has been some of the worst customer service I have ever received. Album hair leaves you feeling really cheated and taken advantage of.
