Hired Alberta Pro Movers to move my household items to kelowna from Calgary. When the truck arrived and the van door was lifted it was appalling. Boxes were all over and the movers were literally unloading with little care. Almost all the furniture had some form of damage. The bed frames were taken apart but the lag bolts and screws were never returned for their reassembly. Unfortunately I was unable to observe the unpacking of the furniture as I am in a wheelchair from a recent injury. I did immediately notice the laquer being rubbed off my dining room chairs from improper packing and I called Adam immediately to notify him of this. He commented that he would grab a can of paint and repair them next time he was in town. Being uncomfortable with this aloof approach given the expense of these chairs I called Stephanie the booking agent. She apologized and asked me to supply three quotes. Needless to say it's been over two months since the move and in spite of several attempts to reach Adam the customer service representative/ mover there has been no reply. This organized is a fly by night, substandard moving service that over promises and under delivers. Be careful. I would stay away.

I contacted Alberta Pro Movers after finding myself in a nightmare situation. The moving company that I had originally made an appointment with cancelled on me, without notifying me - I found out the morning of that they weren't going to show up after calling them and speaking to a confused worker when I said I was waiting for the movers... for a move I had booked one month in advance (insert breakdown # 1). I began to then frantically search for another moving company, and found one, but after about 1 hour, they called me and said they were stuck on a job that was taking longer than they expected and wouldn't be able to help me (insert breakdown # 2). I was beginning to feel very hopeless when I contacted Alberta Pro Movers. After calling, I couldn't even speak at first because I was so upset and distressed at the situation I was in, and was on the verge of a panic attack. I spoke with Stephanie who was extremely empathetic with my situation; she waited for me to collect myself to explain my predicament and listened patiently. I was lucky that Alberta Pro Movers was able to help me super last minute with a move across the city. My movers were Mike and Steve who were also empathetic with my situation. They were friendly, efficient, and professional and treated my belongings (and my feelings) with care, and were able to quickly adapt to a minor situation: a brilliant person who had parked in the loading dock, which hindered the truck being able to back into the front entrance.
