The AMPA team hosts an annual conference that enables attendees to network, learn, and share ideas with each other, as they meet with industry experts from around the globe. Amazing!!!!

As the trade association for all of the consumer, trade and literary magazines in the province, AMPA works hard to serve, inform, and educate its membership. I was involved with AMPA for 11 years. As a freelancer, I volunteered at five AMPA conferences in a row. I found volunteering at the annual conference to be an incredible opportunity to network with editors and publishers, attend practical sessions on editing, art, creative and design, while learning about the latest innovations in the industry and best practices from around the world. As a freelancer, I got work from editors I met at AMPA conferences, traded tips and tools with fellow writers, and caught up with old friends. An Alberta magazines event isn't one to miss!

I've attended a bunch of their recent webinars, and have been to the Alberta Magazines Conference in the past. I'm always impressed by the quality of the speakers, the session content and the high standards of the event, all delivered by a small hard-working team. Looking forward to more webinars coming up this year!
