โ โ โ โ โ Everything was going well until my son's teacher was changed. He was left sitting alone with nobody around to take him to class until he started crying. Mind you he is 6 not 10/12 who you'd expect to know better. Moreover he was told that something "bad" will happen to him because he hadn't memorized a Surah, which is disgusting. It isn't the best method to get children to love and respect their religion. Moreover, after asking a million times if I needed any books and being told that I don't the teacher made him feel horrible about not having one when I had asked and was told not to worry about it. Nothing is consistent. After talking to the director or whoever he just completely sided with the teacher making it my son to be a complete liar. I am not one to do bad reviews but you are better off sending your child to a place like Syeda Khadijah centre where they have great values and structure to teach children and make it fun and loving at the same time.
None of things they do at AlOtrojah are things our religion teaches us. I will be mad if I find out my child was left alone to sit with nobody around and starts crying. I will be mad if my son tells me the teacher told him something bad will happen to him because he is 6 and didn't memorize a surah. I will be mad when I talk to the director and he lashed out at me and tells me that I am not listening to him and shouting which is my right to do when all those things are happening with my 6 year old.
At the end of the day it's my word exact theirs. It is he said she said but if you care for your child to love religion and know it don't send them here. There are better options!
