★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow 140 for one hour RMT session while reasonable amount as per Sunlife and Manulife is 100-102 per hour? That's 40% above average RMT fees. I have been to tons of RMTs and they charge average of 100 CAD. That's quite expensive.
Second thing is for initial RMT session you force the patient to do it virtually. Though doing initial assessment is a norm across RMT clinics and profession but it doesn't take more than 10 mins at most to go through such questions. While here they charge 84 for a 30 mins virtual appointment which is a rip off. Let alone on website mentioning the one hour of virtual treatment for 140 by providing you certain explanation about your condition and exercises for it. While one would emphasize on the importance of initial assessment and certain stretches and exercises but come on seriously an hour? That's like dragging and killing time for $$$. Something that could be done in 10 or 15 mins. This therapist is good in killing time and being inefficient and too expensive at the same time.

For pre and post natal care, she is the first person that comes to mind. She is skilled and effective in treating lactation issues and helping women with their health challenges in their most vulnerable time which is post-natal.

I had been dealing with a nipple injury and clogged ducts and was in quite a bit of pain and discomfort. After my first session my entire outlook changed. She was able to relive so much of the discomfort I had been feeling and my ability to breastfeed is completely back on track. I highly recommend Akari!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Akari for pregnancy care and then again when I had clogged ducts from breastfeeding. Akari is caring, professional, and one of the most knowledgeable people on the topic of breast feeding that I have ever met. Even more than the 3 lactation consultants I had seen prior! She is very thorough with her explanations, and even sent emails so I wouldn't forget her self care instructions.
Not only did she relieve the pain and discomfort, she was very reassuring and encouraging when I felt ready to give up breastfeeding. With her help and guidance, I was able to comfortably continue breastfeeding for 14 months.
I highly recommend Akari.
