★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and many activities for residents if desired. Faith services held, pastoral care. Staff is spread thin but that seems to be the norm in Ontario.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extreme Careless PSW's A lot of them need to go back to school and they also need to learn compassion for those who are in need of help..stop complaining about your dam job and do it right.
If you have severe health issues don't sign up for this nursing home..some of the staff members are useless when it comes to long term care. Management is even worse at accommodating any problems..they talk to you in circles and make you feel like an infant..everything gets twisted to make it look like your the idiot. I am disgusted with this home and wish my dad was not living in this place :/

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After several years at Afton Park, my father recently passed away. I cannot begin to say how grateful our family is to the caring staff who looked after my Dad in his final days. Unfortunately, our family is spread out across Canada with no one in Sarnia. When I got word that Dad had taken a turn for the worse, I raced to Sarnia but bad weather made turned a 2 hour drive into 4 hours and i missed his passing by a mere few minutes. Members of the staff ensured that he was not alone and when I arrived, I found him at peace in a room they had decorated with family momentos he'd saved and his favourite music playing on his stereo. These people have a very difficult and often thankless job and yet they took time to sit with an old man and lend comfort to his family. We will forever be grateful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father lives here. Most of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. On one occasion I ran into a nurse who didnt know about the medicine she was administering, worried me a bit. She was new, fresh out of school. Hasn't happened since!
