J	Jacob George on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a loyal customer to Advance Hobbies and have bought multiple tools, kits and paints from them from time to time as well as referred many of my friends to them. They have a great selection of products and it had been a pleasure to deal with them until my last visit on 01/19/21. Amid the Coronavirus pandemic they remain to stay open to serve customers on a one at a time basis. On the above mentioned date, I entered the store, made eye contact with the woman who was working there and immediately proceeded to tell her that I was there to buy a screwdriver. Before she could even respond to what I had said, Alexis Lan had intervened and began shouting at me loudly that “browsing was not allowed” and that “I must buy something” and questioned me rudely “what do you want?” The woman then explained to him that I was there to purchase a screwdriver, at which point his tone changed and he promptly came over to serve me. I made my purchase promptly and that is the last time I will ever set foot in his shop again. I am absolutely disgusted and shocked that he would ever speak to his customers in this manner, especially a regular customer. We as customers recognize the stress and hardships that the Coronavirus Pandemic has caused as well as the strict regulations that impact small businesses. I always had a respect for Alexis and wanted to do my part to support him in these hard times. Unfortunately this is what I was left to deal with. Take from this review what you will, if you choose to do business with them I wish you all the best but personally I would not want to further support a business that treats their customers in such a rude and disrespectful manner. Thank you!
W	Winston Battle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ after spending $500 in repairs for my car, it is even more broken. replaced engine because they said my old engine was shot they lied. i bought new engine from them, they only added a few parts claiming i dont get a whole new engine (i paid$200)didn't work,still doesn't l.they broke my push rods they bent them they now need replacement they took no responsibility. they broke my brakes blamed me when i told them my brakes were new when i brought it in. they removed and didn't reinstall screws to a important gear, it went flying off cost me $30 to replace. after 5 visits my car still doesn't work. i think it may have been intentionally or they are not equipped to handle 2stroke gas engines. I wouldn't recommend them. now he says im not being honest , why would i lie. you charged me over $500 in parts(scam) and labour. you be honest.your mechanic did not know what he was doing and you overcharged me. YOU BE HONEST.

Call in ahead of time and they'll let you know if what you're looking for is in stock. They continue to restock on products so periodically call in and you will probably find what you're looking for! Understanding that this pandemic has been tough on everyone, I think the owners have been doing a great job of accommodating the rules, while still being able to properly service their customers.
P	PD 3D (PD3D) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a Savage XL and RS4 EVO+ about 15 years ago when they were on Sheppard. They always had the parts that I needed in stock and were always very knowledgeable and helpful. Fast forward to recently when I decided to get back into the hobby, I discovered that they moved to a better (in my opinion) location but still have the same extensive stock and consistently friendly knowledgeable staff. They had the kits in stock that I could not find anywhere online. I would highly recommend them for anything R/C. Thanks for keeping the hobby alive!
