★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They wanted to charge me $950 for a used transmission not even rebuilt $3100 to swap the transmission. I obviously went elsewhere and got it done for $1536 all in....what does that tell you...he saw I was desperate, I told him I am a commercial driver...take advantage of me advance, I think not!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My car was towed here after being broken down and stuck on the highway just outside of Kamloops. They quickly assessed my car in the morning and repaired the broken serpentine belt by the early afternoon. An hour after picking up my car, when I was leaving town to go home to Surrey, I suddenly remembered my right rear blinker light was blown out. So I stopped back in here to ask my light bulb be changed before I hop on the highway, and asked how much he just said... no worries and he did it out of kindness. Thankyou for such great customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best Subaru specialists in town. The people here provide service that’s just as good, if not better, to that provided by official dealers. It’s a shame that Kamloops doesn’t have a dedicated Subaru dealership, but with the services offered here, who needs one? (Except for when you have to drive to Vernon or Vancouver to have specialty or major systems repaired, but there’s nothing Advance Auto Service can do about that). The aforementioned inconvenience is the only reason I won’t give 5 stars, but, again, that’s out of their control.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had advanced auto install my gates timing belt kit and an x-clutch twin disk ceramic performance clutch. Immediately after the clutch was installed I brought the car back and complained as it was insanely noisy and the clutch didn’t grab until 90% had been let out. The owner informed me this was normal for twin plat clutches. I firmly stated that was not correct and he pacified me enough that I left the shop. Fast forward 17 months. Cars in the shop and the throw out bearing was cooked and the pressure plate was improperly installed. The damage to the car is minor but at no time was my clutch properly installed and this could have had major implications. Do your research before bringing your car here I will never go back.

He fixed our other bearing, adjusted our rear brakes and, put two new tires on the van within 3 hours. Our family owns a shop in the Yukon and, we were impressed with the price and, the speed. Would recommend this shop in a minute,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had my Subaru's engine replaced, runs wonderfully again! Also replaced and fixed my heat shields so no more rattling on those, which is a common Subaru issue after time. Best/only Subaru mechanic is here, along with helpful staff so highly recommended.
