★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were extremely nervous about getting this done but it had to be done or we could never sell again. We brought in several companies. We got a quote, we actually had a lower quote from another company but there answers to our questions didn't make any sense. They showed up with a lot of expensive and very new equipment. You could tell they were there to do the job and not tell us what they thought we wanted to hear. It was a lot more work than they had planned because the tank was 50% larger than they originally scoped out so they had to go under the garage. Did we see a new price, NO. Finally the tank and all it's scary blue coloured oil sand surrounding it was discovered. By day two they had the tank and all the soil out. Then the soil samples were taken and sent to the lab. It was at this time I realized we were very vulnerable because they could have told us anything if they were unscrupulous. OMG your soil is a mess you need $30,000 worth of remediation for example. BUT alas, the samples came back under detectable levels. Imagine the already low budget turned out to be even lower because it was much cleaner than anybody thought. I'm glad we only have one tank to deal with but if I ever find myself in this situation again you can bet that this would be the only company I'd consider!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi to all those folks who might have a tank for removal I'd just like to say that we had one in the front yard and found and called Action oil tank right from the start they were the best!! Knowing a bit about Hazmat I was happy to hear all the right answers to my questions and concerns Tom and his crew are as pro as they come from the assessment to the quote and all aspects of the job to be done as honest and professional as you can get! Thanks so much for getting the job done! My folks dad 86 and mom 82 are sleeping better now that the tank is gone and taken care of the right way I feel a weight off my shoulders as well with it gone thanks again to Tom and his crew! Action oil tanks are the ones to call!

We called Action Oil Tanks on a holiday Monday expecting to leave a message regarding our needs, but they answered and came out to assess our property within a few hours of our call, during the COVID crisis, no less! The work was done same-day, awesome service. I would strongly recommend Action Oil Tanks for all your oil tank removal needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thomas and his team are professionals who know what they're doing. He found a tank immediately, but unfortunately it had leaked into our property. He handled everything from tank removal/disposal to soil excavation and transport to the receiving facility. Even though we live on a busy road in Nanaimo with limited access, he was able to work out a plan to remove the tank and soil with minimal impact on us or our neighbours.
When contacting other companies in the area for an estimate of the work, one came back at a much higher price, while the other didn't respond at all after a site visit. Needless to say, when undertaking a project like this, things can get stressful. You can be rest assured though, that Action Oil Tanks has the professionalism and honesty that will help you get through the project as smoothly as possible. Definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The property had a moderate amount of contaminated soil from a leaking underground oil tank. Dan and his crew were accommodating to our requests to use the smaller machine and removed the contaminated soil by carts prior to bringing in the larger excavator. Dan was professional, quick to respond, and kept us updated throughout the entire progress. I would recommend Action Oil Tanks for your soil remediation.
