★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you need your data recovered, this is the place you want to go! I never do reviews but I’m too impressed with Aceon not to gush, and here's why...
1. Their Policy: If they can’t recover the data, there’s no charge whatsoever. Really can't beat that.
2. Excellent Covid Safety: I called in & spoke to Simon who gave me all the info I needed over the phone, so it was a quick stop when I went in to the shop. Made social distancing really easy!
3. They’re readily available: All my phone calls were answered quickly & they were always prepared to help! I was super frazzled (having just busted my hard drive), and Simon patient and friendly as he walked me through what the next steps were. They always had the time to answer my questions & I never felt rushed.
4. The efficiency: They had recovered my data before my new hard drive arrived!
5. They know what they’re doing: Simon is well versed in all areas of his job, and I could tell he’s really passionate about what he does. I learned a ton from him & he gave me so much advice I didn’t know I needed. The way he took the time to share his knowledge in order to help me prevent losing my data ever again, just shows how much he has his customers best interest in mind.
Do yourself a favour and go with Aceon! I would give them a 100/5 if I could.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a professional musician/singer friend who had two laptop drives with years of her songwriting material on them that had no backups (!). One drive was 11 years old and the other was 12 years old. They were unreadable - most hard drives start to end-of-life after 5-7 years - these were way over that, so it's no surprise. But the information on them was priceless. She's not technical, and she had no idea what to do next, so I offered to help.
I contacted a friend of mine (we both have worked in the tech industry for almost 40 years), who worked for a large well known top 10 global tech firm. Right away, he said, "Aceon. Talk to Simon."
I called Simon up on a Sunday afternoon, and even though he was heading out soon to a Canucks game, he had me run the drives over that evening to have him take his best shot and get them started. He hooked them up to specialized equipment that, even with the best gear, these drives could barely be read at 10% speed. Simon packed them with cold packs, nursed them for three days to get the data off, and nailed it. Great communication all the way through the process, and they were a day earlier than their estimate.
Needless to say, we've got a very happy songwriter with her life's work back. If you've got critical information on a drive that you need recovered, Aceon is the place to send it. Just not an hour before the Canucks game, ok? :-)

I experienced my iMac hard disk got damaged. I couldn't access it any more. I was in panic by anticipating data loss. One of Mac authorized technicians recommended to me Aceon. I reached out to them. Simon at Aceon.
Simon is a guy with tons of knowledge and experiences. He explained well at the beginning about conditions of my damaged disk, as well as diagnosis and possible recovery procedures and etc.
Communications was always smooth and personable. They are very responsive by using calls or texting to describing recovery progress and status. They were always answering my calls or if not, called me back shortly after.
Overall my experience with Simon, Aceon was very very pleasant. Now I got all data recovered. It is definitely worth money spending, if data recovery needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When all hope was lost, Aceon to the rescue! I had an external HDD fail for no apparent reason and after exhausting all options including shucking the drive myself I looked to Simon and the Aceon team to recover 4TB of photos from the drive that I thought was gone forever.
Aceon were able to recover 98% of my data and I am truly grateful. Fantastic communication & service throughout! Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Saved my life" sounds dramatic, but it sure felt like it when Simon and his team were able to recover some very important data from a USB stick that I accidentally broke. I am so appreciative of the professionalism and excellent quality of work done to retrieve hundreds of hours of my work that I needed right away. I hope to never be in this situation again, but I would not hesitate to contact Aceon again.
