Fantastic certified organic bread. Try the roasted garlic and cheese and any of their great sourdoughs.

Their new location at Granville Island, in the old La Baguette spot is awesome! They just need a little more product to help fill such a large space.

A Bread Affair has the best croissants and baguettes in the Lower Mainland. I am originally from France, have tried all the croissants and baguettes in town, and these are definitively the best!!!

Granville Island Location: Great breads! Great cookies - especially the chocolate chip and the double chocolate walnut - but the best of all are their Croissants - both the plain and petit pain au chocolat - both worth every calorie they contain; if you are going to eat those calories they had better be quality calories and these definitely are very high quality calories!- the croissants are a deep golden brown colour and have a slightly crusty exterior with a soft, fresh and moist flaky interior without being so dry and excessively flaky that they fall apart to the touch. The Bread Affair Croissants are better than any I've had in Montreal and Montrealers say theirs are better than they get in France! CONCLUSION: Bread Affair's croissants are better than you can get in France! Try the Bread Affair, they won't disappoint - the friendly, knowledgeable staff and the high quality baked goods make this a place you don't want to miss on your next visit to Granville Island. If you want the croissants or petit pain au chocolat; get them early, before 4.30 - 5 pm because they run out as they did today, midweek - a Wednesday, at 4-5 pm. Croissants are much better than those offered by La Baguette who previously occupied this space at Granville Island before the building was gutted by fire. The young people who work here appear to be very happy to serve their customers and make alternative product suggestions taking into account the customers' preferences and tastes.

I can't fathom what would make these people think they can keep a loyal employee for five whole years and then not only dismiss them for a new labor force (not because of any committed wrong), but demanding that they train the new workforce replacements. With no severance. Businesses in British Columbia absolutely disgust me. YOUR. ? WORKERS. ? ARE. ? HUMAN. ? BEINGS.

I have been a customer for a while now and I am in love. I typically don't respond well to bread, but this bread doesn't cause a reaction in me, I think cause its made with organic clean ingredients! Its SOOOO good! I highly recommend!

A Bread Affair has good bread, it sure does, however, behind the scenes they (specifically the owner, Tanya) treats her employees like trash. Not only does she make everyone walk on eggshells on a daily basis, she fired all the cleaners, including one that has been there for 5 years and made her train her replacement (a new cleaning company). There's just so much more, such as, if you're in the newly renovated beautiful Langley location, I'd avoid the espresso machine as it was once a mouse house merely a month ago. ? Get a new machine.
