Normally I don't write reviews but I had such a bad experience. Placed a delivery order for Pani puri -- got Dahi poori instead Panner pakora - it cost $8.99 but gave a small portion of it [worth around $3] .called up to ask about this and the response I got was will try to give a large portion next time :( too pricey and taste is not great

Delicious authentic South indian food. Found this gem of a place today for lunch with my friend. You will get that homemade taste. Had Egg dosa, amazing tomato chutney, poori with aloo masala, lamb curry and parotta. Ravi sir was very hospitable.

Otherworldly customer service and food that is as South Indian authentic as one could find. I've been coming time and time again and have never left not wanting to immediately return. Thank you 7th Taste.

Best hospitality I have seen in a long time.. amongst very few restaurants that do not sell fake recipes in the name of β€œcan’t find right spices”, β€œcustomising flavours to the taste of local crowd”… visit this place for authentic South Indian food. Very good experience overall.

Very homely, authentic South Indian food. Family run, Uncle and Aunty were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed talking to them and the food. It's not a fancy restaurant though, but easy to locate right on the Kingsway.

Hello, Foody Lovers and Folks! I am Hemil Makwana, and here I would like to review my visit to an Indian restaurant. Yesterday, I headed out for a walk on the streets of Vancouver with my friend when a South Indian restaurant appeared there. Whose name is "Ananda Bhavan" is located in Kingsway, Vancouver. As soon as we entered, there was a meeting with Ravi Ji (The Owner), a retired professor who manages this Hospitality business very well with his better half Shanti Ji (Co-owner, Chef). There are a lot of South Indian restaurants in my hometown. However, I got an original taste in Ananda Bhavan. We both (friends) tested 2-3 different dosas and enjoyed the homely flavor by eating them. Their Sambar (Dal), Chutney, and Green Chutney were finger-lickin' good. Then after dinner was over, we tried to eat something sweet; hence we glimpsed a lot of desserts on their menu, from which we ordered "Ras Malai." After eating it, that was a fantastic feeling. Although it can not be expressed in words, we should taste it once in a life. If we talk about their nature/behavior, both are cheerful, adorable, positive, and always smiling faces. If you ever miss home (India) food, then definitely make a visit to "Ananda Bhavan" just to meet that lovely couple and order any food item from the menu. Believe me, you will get a better flavor with fewer spices which is also better for health. On behalf of my friend and me, I would like to greet Raviji and Shantiji. At the same time, I want to thank you with all my heart for making that evening more delicious. I am looking forward to seeing you soon, both of you. Thank You Very Much Best Regards, Hemil Makwana

Amazing food and service provided by Ravi uncle and his family. They are from Tamil Nadu, India. The dishes serviced were Egg curry and parottas, tamarind rice, papaddum, egg kothu roti, masala chai and filter coffee- all pure south Indian dishes. You can let them know about your spice level tolerance. The service is amazing, we had a great chat with the family to relate with their food, culture and experiences. ? Guy please give it a shot as their prices are also reasonable.
