★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m a resident at 2121 Atwater... Had a few issues with my bathroom plugs as well as a window that refused to open with an old screen... The property’s maintenance man, Daniel Gagne, was promptly at my suite and efficiently repaired the issues while also volunteering to fix other small things that I hadn’t even mentioned. He was courteous, professional and thorough...much appreciate this level of service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just moved this month. The place has been amazing, from the location to the facilities and super helpful staff - the in-house real estate agents, doormen and superintendent's especially. We had a few small issues that we put in a work order for and they were fixed within just a couple of days!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved into an apartment with bathtub and toilet drains clogged and overflowing, toilet running, water pouring from the ceiling (they fixed it but left a large hole there), and a front door lock that keeps jamming. After 8 months, they still haven't fixed these problems. Construction noise has been going on non-stop for months, all day long, with no signs of it stopping. The people at the rental office are rude and condescending.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful building. Rent is much too high. I’ve had problems with plumbing and it never gets fixed. Building is constantly under construction. So noisy all the time, can't sleep. I get woken up every morning by the sound of drilling and banging. If you try to talk to the management they are always in a bad mood and yell at you like you are a child. Although there is supposed to be air conditioning, they are too cheap to turn it on so in the summer it is unbearably hot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The janitor just knocked on the door and when I didn't answer, he just came straight into my apartment. No apologies, no justification. Just said something about fixing a water leak in the apartment above mine. When I complained, the janitor literally laughed in my face. The management denied it happened. The landlords in this building are rude and disrespectful to the tenants. They act like it's a privilege for you to live in this run down, worn out building with repair issues everywhere. Can't stand it! Hate living here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only good thing about this apartment building is the location. My oven doesn't work, and they still haven't fixed it after 7 months. My apartment is way too hot in the summer (28 deg) and there is no way to install an air conditioner. It is so noisy I have to wear ear plugs at all times because of the construction noise. The rent is much too high and they coerce you into a year lease. And guess what? They come into your apartment when you are not there, without your permission or giving you notice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Building cares a lot about appearances so it does look nice and clean in the lobby. But the place is basically run by little old drama filled ladies. Incompetent, inefficient, and overcomplicated. The "solutions" they offer make no sense, make theirs and the tenants lives harder than necessary. There are so many "rules" that it feels like high school/dorm. I think they're miserable and dont even know what it's like to be pleasant reasonable humans anymore.
Also, pipes, windows, and heating are incredibly outdated. New renos look nice at first glance, once you move in you realize it's cheap as hell. Noise come through easily (street, sirens, etc). Doormen are nice till you dont cater to their arbitrary "rules." That comes from pressure from management. I expect a certain level of autonomy and freedom from my living spacebut they take themsevles way to seriously. Their presence shouldn't be a hindrance in my life. But it really is. Ridiculous people.
Also overpriced bc they think they fit in "luxury" category by shining the floors more often than most building. Don't be fooled, there are a lot of structural issues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uncomfortable winters. When temperatures are lower than -10C, the temperature inside becomes quite uncomfortable as the windows are drafty and let out a lot of heat. Since the heating unit is extremely noisy, it is not relaxing to have it on while at home and nearly impossible during the night. Oftentimes, I will turn the heating on only when I leave the house for a while. This means that the rest of the night becomes increasingly cold, to the point where I start a little tremor. I don't think this is reasonable. Yet they have recently posted that additional heaters are not allowed as it poses additional liability to the management, sourcing the recent fires in New York were caused by heating units. It shows that this building is much more concerned with its own financial risk than the well-being of its tenants. I don't know if I would stay another winter here.
