We hired Kayleigh in 2016 for our wedding and engagement photos. I had seen some of her work and was impressed, but had no idea what she had in store for us. We had our initial meeting one evening and had both sessions completely planned out within the hour. First came the engagement session, done on the Santa Maria pirate ship in West Edmonton Mall - it definitely made for some unique, fun photos - which my husband and I are all about! Fast forward to August 20, 2016 - the big day arrived! Kayleigh met me and my wedding party at the hotel to snap some candid photos of the girls getting ready, including my step daughter who was 6 at the time. The 6 year old insisted on having our dresses photographed side by side before we put them on, then of course once we had them on, we needed another picture. Kayleigh did just that, and she captured some really beautiful moments. We headed to the ceremony location, and that's when magic really was captured. Kayleigh captured raw emotion, love between a newly formed family and love between a father and his young daughter. She knows how to create moments, and capture them as they happen, solidifying them in history forever. She has a lot of fun too, with a bit of a crazy side (this is a good thing, I promise). After our ceremony, we went off to do photos, and that's when the adventure we didn't know was coming, arrived! Moments of laughter between friends, loving moments between husband and wife and spontaneous moments were all captured that day. Our favorite photo is that of myself and my husband sharing a kiss on a bench as a BMX biker takes a trick shot over our heads. Purely in our moment, we had no idea what was going on, and heard nothing but the bike chain as the rider flew over our heads. Everyone thinks the photo is photo shopped, but I can tell you as someone who experienced it first hand, it is very real. If you want to capture raw, human emotion, a moment as it plays out, Kayleigh is the one to hire. She sees beauty in everything, creativity in any space and a beautiful moment never escapes her. She really is your person on the big day - whatever that may be. I wouldn't want anyone else by my side.
