Cool little stop along the highway. But much better known as a rest stop. We stopped here early one morning for a quick hour sleep and a pit stop. Very beautiful spot along a lake with old log cabins.

I've been waiting to stop in at the museum for over a year. Today I finally got the chance and it was well worth the wait. The museum has the small museum charm that I am in love with. The volunteer was helpful, friendly and matched our enthusiasm. Having outside exhibits along with the inside museum was a nice touch and keeps all age groups interested. We will 100% be stopping here in the future.

Nice place to see some building from gold rush, too bad it’s currently closed due to covid

If you like to look at vintage stuff, then this is one of the places to be in the region. It's also near a lake so you get breathtaking views while you stroll around the area.

We've driven by here for years and, for some reason, never stopped. This year, on our annual trip north, the place caught my eye. I decided we'd stop on our journey south. I'm glad we did! It's a great place to take a rest. Well-maintained grounds for stretching your legs and picnic tables if you prefer to eat. The real bonus, of course, is the collection of heritage buildings. Everything is informative and well-labelled. The young lady in the museum was particularly well-informed and was a treat to talk to. Stop just driving by; drop in.

It is always a wonderful place to make a stop along Gold Rush Trail - Cariboo Wagon Road. Beautiful lake, nice picnic area, and what's more - a small but very good museum with heritage buildings. Some of the buildings are original from here, the actual site of the road house, some were moved here from other road houses along the Gold Rush Trail. The heritage site illustrates what the life was like back in the old days. It was interesting that the newspaper and mail-order catalogues were kept too. I particularly love the gift shop - lots of locally sourced items. The site is operated by some extremely dedicated volunteers - many of them are in their very senior age. It'd be nice to make a stop there and donate a little bit to help this site continue running for the years to come.

Was walking around 108 Lake from our resort when someone on the trail told us to check out the heritage site. Well worth the walk. Buildings are old but kept in excellent condition. Had small booths to buy nick nacks such as fudge and doggie treats as well as handmade soups etc. Plus place is close to Rusty Iron Coffee shop an added bonus. Already did a review of Rusty, great destination for coffee and food. 108 Heritage site was a great experience to see how things used to be with our schools and churches. Unfortunately I couldn't buy anything because they didn't take debit. Wi-Fi wasn't working. That's too bad.
