Experienced absolutely terrible customer service with the owner John. He was late delivering a bouquet of flowers I ordered for a birthday... Delivered them the day after recipients birthday in the evening and they were dead. Recipient sent the flowers back immediately. He was rude in the phone to the recipient, hung up on her, and refused to give me a full refund. Said he would give me a PORTION back in a store credit note.

mid June ordered a green tropical plant to be delivered. Order was placed in the morning, same day delivery was available.By 5 pm no delivery confirmation so I called, was told it wouldnt be delivered for another day, they don't stock the plant and were trying to find something suitable, would I be interested in a lily. I wanted what I purchased. They delivered the following day, didn't charge the delivery fee. The plant they sent was less than 2ft tall, some leaves brown, weeds in soil, loose in a dirty used pot with an ugly Christmas bow. I paid $50 for a plant I could have bought for $10

I'm posting this review after a failed attempt to rectify this situation with Flower Country, which is based in The Mayflower, regarding a Mother’s Day bouquet for my mom. What she received was a wilting arrangement that was not at all what I’d ordered. The store’s policy indicates that while some substitutions may be necessary, replacement flowers will be of equal/ higher value. But how can a modern arrangement of purple/pink tulips, roses, lilies and carnations become a wilting arrangement of baby's breath, ferns, yellow mums/daisies, a few carnations and yellow gauze? My Dad had to deadhead it before handing it over to my mom. I called the store and explained my disappointment to the owner. The owner told me: they can make substitutions, I picked the $65 "cheap" one, I obviously realized I spent too much money which is why I was asking for a refund, and they are a rural store and clearly don't have a greenhouse so you get what you get. The owner then hung up on me. Never again. I spend much of the summer in Barry's Bay and will cheerfully tell everyone that these people care nothing about customer service, loyalty or honesty. Thanks, Flower Country/The Mayflower! I'll be visiting every establishment in Barry’s Bay this summer but yours.

I called The Mayflower around 10:30 on the morning of December 20th and spoke with Jerome. I wanted to send a gourmet gift basket to a local business in Barry's Bay for their Grand Opening so I deliberately enlisted a local florist and asked him whether he thought there was still time to prepare a delivery for that day. He assured me there was (the business was roughly 5 minutes from the florist.) I ordered the top option of the available gift baskets: The image on the website depicted a basket with a wheel of gourmet cheese, an assortment of premium crackers, biscuits, salami, swiss chocolates, and some premium preserves, etc... What was delivered was a basket containing one premium brand of chocolate covered biscuits, about three soft apples, some bananas and a pear, a box of crackers, a box of Whippets, 2 cups of pudding, a tub of Philadelphia cream cheese, a jar of store-brand pickles, a jar of olives and a sausage. Pricing out each of the items contained in the website image came to roughly $68.00 plus tax. Pricing (at the same grocer) what was actually delivered came to roughly $25.00 plus tax. The retail price I was charged for the basket by the Mayflower was $95.00 plus tax. My wife and I had to leave for the Holidays the following day and so I did not address the matter with Jerome until our return on January 3rd, When I expressed my dissatisfaction he was rather unapologetic and insisted I should have brought the matter to his attention sooner. He offered no compensation.

On a regular basis I have purchased floral arrangements from this shop for special family occasions and have always been completely satisfied with the friendly service and the quality of the arrangements.
