I went to pick up a range hood and I bought the under cabinet - LUFT Stainless steel version w/ 720CFM capacity (Model LU3030). I specifically asked for no open or used box. The lady at the counter said it is brand new. The box was taped and sealed as if it is new so I was happy and left home after purchasing it. However, what I ended up getting was a poorly refurbished unit from the supplier. I took it home and only after a week, I hired a contractor to install. I made a mistake of not opening it until then. As he opened the box, he pointed out several spots on the unit that still had greasy residue, rust on screw holes, blue plastic wrap pieces in random places, and showed me the different colours in screws for the same side. The photos I attached are taken immediately after removing the unit out of the box. No unpacking has been done that involved the blue wrapping paper. He indicated this was a returned item that was refurbished. I am not happy at all because I was not in a position to take it back for many reasons, one the contractor was already there and I couldn’t tell him to leave home and not to install it. as I would have to pay him for his visit. Secondly, the store cleverly indicated no return on these units but only exchange (I wonder why...). Even if I did take it back to return, the store could say this was used by me and that it wasn’t the unit they supplied. My advice for other buyers is quite simple. Open the unit in the store in front of the employees and if it looks used, or refurbished, give them sh** and ask for full refund even if they tell you no returns. At least if one of you can avoid getting ripped off, I will be satisfied. You can find the photos I attached for reference.

My technician aptly described this place as Chinese Home Depot, and it is for a good reason. It's a huge place with limited choices and accepts returns (in same package and not used) only within 2weeks from the date of purchase. Overall it's a great place for a range of construction material including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, tiles, sanitary, flooring, carpenter stuff etc.

Very busy place, most likely because of their lower prices on in stock items. Employees are friendly and helpful. I will shop here again.

Helpful staff, we felt lost trying to find what we needed and one of the cashiers helped us. She made it so much easier and was very friendly.

Has most of your building and home needs, but I think they don't have lumber. The prices are okay, I would say a little cheaper than big box stores. Not exactly a relaxing shopping environment, but if you know what you need, it's okay!

Very very friendly staff, nice and clean place. Cheaper than most other building supply shops. Lots of space for parking. Pretty crowded at the mornings, best place to get tiles . I bought all my kitchen floor and counter top tiles from here. Unmatched pricing.

Zion is a popular building supplies depot. There was an large reno selection on display including vanities, backsplash, granite tiles, faucets, showers, flooring, and lighting. Mix in some parts, ducting, doors and it’s got the feel of a Chinese Home Depot. Prices were slightly lower than those big box stores, but with lesser known brands here. It was a good sign to see the place busy on a late weekend afternoon. Mostly contractors and DIYers (some with contractors) checking out their renovation options. We also checked another nearby building supplies shop but that didn’t come close to the options at Zion Building Supplies.
