Pour vous laisser à savoir, je vais poster plus que une histoire de mon expérience quand j'étais en logements de cette établissement. To my personal opinion, throwing someone's personal belongings is just as being disrepected by a man. No matter what rules or regulations are, pardon my vocabulary but my stuff wasn't just garbage or thrown away as said. To my knowledge, the first contact that u gave should of been called or notified before just throwing it out. My important documentation or personal belongings just had no meaning!!! Nobody there has the same life ordeals. And for people who live further away than YWCA location in Sudbury, there is no help whatsoever for transportation funds or bus fair and much more to be included. In my last words, being g at Kirkwood is a much better place of well being and recovery. Thank u and until my next opinion!!! Carole Lavallée
A	A Wren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called their shelter line to inquire about space availability, to be be met with rude and condescending attitude of employee who identified herself as Caitlyn (If that is even her real name) who insisted that my situation doesn't fit into their "rigid standard of dometic abuse" and therefore even though I was in an extremely desperate situation, and fleeing violence, they weren't willing to make an exception. I explained to her that if here was space, I wanted to appeal my case to a manager or director, which I have every right to. Instead of being reasonable and letting me know if there was space, she completely overstepped her authority, and withheld the information, and tried to gatekeep a service that she had no ownership of. I wonder if the government and your various donors know that this is the kind of disrespectful judgmental, discriminatory employee that their money goes into funding each year? I can only imagine the number of vulnerable women, in desperate situations, who have been turned away because of the disrespectful and appalling attitude of Caitlyn, trying to prevent vulnerable women from accessing a vital service. The call was placed around 3:15-3:20pm.
