Best Shanghai food you can get. Price is worth and the portions are large. We usually order Hot and Sour Soup, drunken chicken, XLB, fried rice w/ salty pork, and braised pork belly w/ pickle. Service is great too :D It's recommended to make reservations if you're eating here for dinner.

Real Shanghainese foods, I wish we have one in our city. Will definitely come back in our visit to Vancouver .

Came on a Monday night. Food was not a stand out. Service was good and food didnโ€™t take too long to arrive and the portions were decent, but itโ€™s a bit pricey for the quality. Ordered: Hot and Sour Soup - definitely tasted the sour and a hint of spicy, but the broth lacked umami and depth Salted Duck Nanjing Style - meat was a bit chewy and the brine made it too salty. Donโ€™t think it was that fresh XLB - soup was a bit bland and had more earthy flavours that I didnโ€™t like Fried Pork Buns - not a lot of soup in it and lacked flavour, same as XLB. Bun crispness was good Shanghai Fried Noodles - mostly noodles and not a lot of veggies or pork. Tasted the soy sauce, but thatโ€™s about it. The noodles itself were okay though

Parking & seating limited, recommend RSVP if possible (takeout available). Tried two-person combo menu: found quite filling so took some dishes home! Each assorted dish of vegetables, pork buns, soup & fried dessert came piping hot and delicious. Hope to visit again for dim sum menu hour.

Delicious Shanghainese spot! I love their tomato egg, xlbs, and cumin lamb. Today we tried the drunken chicken which was a really fragrant and tasty appetizer.

Very delicious shanghainese! Ordered the crab roe XLB, came piping hot and full of soup goodness! A Must-order! Deep fried yellow fish has generous portion size- they must have 10 pieces in there! Preserved Cabbage fish dish was pretty good but there was too much peppercorn in the soup; always had 1 - 2 pieces in my spoonโ€ฆvery inconvenient. I would want to come back for lunch and try out other dim sum. Parking & seating were limited. Make sure to make reservation ahead of time. Thereโ€™s meter parking along the street outside Sun Sui Wah.

Great dining experience. Renee was great in ensuring service and dinner was satisfactory to our guests. Even sent staff to get extra crabs for our two tables. The other dishes were very tasty and highly recommended place for Shanghainese food . The lamb ribs were excellent . If there is a 6 star as review, they will deserve it.

My good friend, Aggie, and her husband Nick invited our family to having dinner here. This restaurant provides Shanghai delicacies and a bit pricy. However the quality of food is good. It's packed and noisy while we were there, it made a conversation difficult especially with many people sit on a big round table.?
