Yoga Grace

I’ve been doing pranayama with Engel at yoga grace for a few months now. Going in I was skeptical to what it was all about but by the end of the class I was hooked. The benefits I’ve experienced from doing breath work with has been amazing. It has made me much more mindful throughout the day. The euphoric feeling after a breath hold is unparalleled! There’s no way to describe it. It’s something you’d have to experience to understand. Engel does an excellent job of teaching and guiding you through the breath. Learning to trust the hold and blast off was intimidating at first but now I look forward to every Saturday @ 6 to get my breath work on with Engel and the crew! I would recommend to anyone!

Yoga Grace has heart, soul, laughter and love. Engel and Teresa, or any of their lovely instructors will warmly greet you and provide you with a beautiful experience of connecting to your true nature, relaxing your mind, stretching and strengthening your body. I have visited many yoga studios all over the world and Yoga Grace ranks among the finest.

This is my favorite yoga studio ever. There is such profound depth in all of the teachers. The space feels very peaceful and is quite beautiful. It feels like the warmth of a home I have always wanted. Every time I leave, ease and GRACE fill me up more than before. I wish there were more studios like this in Vancouver... I haven't been in this beautiful family owned spiritual center in person (I don't live in Qualicum Beach), but I cannot wait to be there one day and meet this amazing and transformative place! I have been attending Engel's virtual breathwork/satsang classes for over a year, and I can say they are the most amazing classes I have had in my life. YG Online is a great way to immerse yourself in a deep spiritual practice! Engel is pure wisdom, truth, goodness, and generosity. While most contemporary breathwork teachers follow trends and teach the same patterns, Engel has his own breathing practice that he has developed over the years and that is based on traditional breathwork and ancient yogic scripture that is thousands of years old. Everything he teaches is rooted on innumerable hours of investigation of ancient scripture, practice with himself and with others and, of course, on his truly unique, divine intuition. It is impossible that you find this quality, depth, and uniqueness anywhere else. Engel is one of the most inspiring figures that I have ever come across. He is not only a master of breathwork, yoga, and scripture but someone who teaches on how to live virtuously, righteously, and courageously. And how he does it? He doesn’t only talk about it; he actually lives his words and treats everyone as he preaches. This is to me his most important teaching. He lives the life he inspires you to live, proving that his teachings are not utopian but totally achievable. Meeting and learning from Engel has been divinely transformative and I am looking forward to meet all the amazing teachers at this center in person one day! Yoga Grace feels like home. The bright space and warm instructors leave people better than how they found them. Classes at YG nourish the body, mind and spirit creating a ripple affect in our community. Colours are brighter and people are more vibrant because of this safe space.

I have been practicing yoga for 30 years and had been doing my own practice at home with my husband for several of these years. Sadly, my husband and dog both passed away within 4 months of each other in 2020 and I was very much alone in my grief. I decided to try Yoga Grace when a friend suggested it to me. I cannot express how grateful I am to have this beautiful studio with excellent teachers and great variety of classes in my neighbourhood. It has been a Godsend to me. I have met such lovely people and it is helping me heal on every level. I love Yoga Grace! ?❤️
