โ โ โ โ โ My parents first took me to YLโs more than two decades ago when we first moved to Surrey. Their delicious curry recipe has been more consistent than anything else in my life ?. I try to have a bowl at least once a month!

โ โ โ โ โ The food has always been very good here. The only problem is the customer service I was told today I could be permitted to use my visa but only on this occasion. They also do not alow using your debit unless you have the tap option. A little strange. Nothing beats their a1 combo but they could use a upgrade in debit hardware not very current with payment methods considering they just had a reno vation.

โ โ โ โ โ Most delicious laksa I've had in Metro Van! Best enjoyed with the optional sambal sauce, right in the food court while everything is hot and fresh. Rich and flavorful Malaysian curry, and their chicken is ultra tender too. The place was just renovated and looks amazing.
Word of warning that they start running out of some dishes around 5-ish, so if you are dead set on getting something specific, come early.

โ โ โ โ โ Been here for years. Needless to say they are the best hainanese chicken in town. Workers are always polite despite they are quite a popular restaurant. I remember at the beginning of the implementation of the $0.25 bag fee, they advised us to bring our own bag when I ordered over the phone for pick up, which I really appreciated, as they don't try to rip people off like many other restaurants do. Keep up the good work guys!

Would have given 5 stars based on taste alone.
However...
My wife went to pick some up today and the owner was super rude to her.
Dear owner, please treat your customers with respect, especially when she's out to get food with 2 kids at her side.

โ โ โ โ โ I've never tried hainanese chicken rice but it's something i've always wanted to try. I decided to order it and to be honest, it's not what I expected. I did not think the chicken would come cold. That came as a bit of a shock to me. I'm guessing though that this is how it is traditionally served. The rice has a strong fragrance that is also a bit foreign to me. I can't quite pinpoint what the flavor is but I'm not used to it. The soup doesn't have much flavor so I left it off but overall I didn't love this dish. I think it's an acquired taste or a childhood dish that adults come to love, so that may be why it doesn't fit my palate well. Judging by the reviews though, YL seems to make this dish very well so if you like hainanese chicken rice then you should give it a try! Otherwise, I would not buy this again. Glad i tried it though :)
