Also you can get wine, beer etc. It's also a Post office at certain hours of the day. Great store!

The service is very good, the food quality is way above average for a roadside stop and the general store has some well priced products to meet most of your last minute needs. Chip Truck: Has great meat and vegan burger options that are locally sourced and very tasty with a lot of tasty sides like deep fried mozza balls and poutine. This is highly recommended. Ice Cream Bar: you can't go wrong with Kawartha Dairy ice cream with lots of flavor options. Another above average offer. General Store: you get what you'd expect in a historic atmosphere that also offers wine and beer, local meat, produce, grocery products, awesome local treats and preserves and also crafts. I highly recommend this stop which is among many high quality local stops on highway 28 that make the highway worth the drive!

C	Courtney Gifford on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old general store. We stopped by on the way back to check it out, it's full of wonderful kitschy items, souvenirs, fudge, an adjunct northern lcbo. The owner was lovely to talk to. He and his pup were on their way to do a grocery delivery but he opened back up so we could check it out. I got some locally made jam and these great pepperette sticks. Highly recommend stopping in there.

The owner came out to offer his help and spent all the time in the world to help us. I didn't know who he was till he went away into the back of the shop.

They have nice sweatshirts and lots of other items for the last minute enroute shoppers. Even fresh veggies in season. The proprietors is friendly and helpful. Great spot!
