We were on our way to prince Rupert and wanted to make the journey getting there just as a memorable and exciting as the final destination, we were in awe of the surroundings and peacefulness of the ranch. It really did make a beautiful start to our vacation and I am very grateful we found this hidden gem!! Everything was just perfect! From the carrots for the horses, the fresh cinnamon buns and the amazing pool. Priceless!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW. This place is SO much better than the internet even shows it to be. The owners are so kind, welcoming, professional, and hardworking. The cabins are impeccable, with beautiful decorations and updated modern appliances and furnishings. The atmosphere is friendly and truly relaxing. We felt at home straight away. They're so accommodating that they even had a treat waiting for our dog when we arrived. Horses were outside our window... Christmas lights on cabins in snow, horse-drawn sleigh rides... Homemade cinnamon buns with a heart made of icing upon arrival... Chocolates on the bed... Everything was just way beyond our imagination. We will be coming back for years to come, and bringing relatives!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked one night over New Years at the Cowboy Cottage and we loved it. The hosts were friendly and paid attention to detail. My favorite part of the stay was the horses. The horses knocked on the back bedroom door in the evening for us to visit with them. We fed them the provided carrots. It was a really neat experience. We also loved the cinnamon buns that were left for us.

My older sister actually booked it in advance as a gift to me.
Maureen is a legit wholesome person, We were first greeted and welcomed as soon as we arrived. She showed us around her place and the cabin we would be staying in.
When we entered the cabin, she had actually made cinnamon buns and had a bottle of apple sparkle juice a birthday card for me and went through the trouble of even blowing up balloons.
She introduced us to the horses and provided carrots for us to feed them!
We were super happy with her attention to detail. You can tell this woman takes immense pride in all her cabins and her livestock. I was very impressed with how much she puts into everything. She even had a print out with our names on it in a frame welcoming us to the cabin.
We really enjoyed playing the games that were provided for us in the cabin and she had a good selection of movies. We watched master commander as a family which we haven’t seen for years lol
We enjoyed the beautiful deck and cooking on the BBQ. We brought our dogs with us and we felt like she gave us space to enjoy ourselves. We didn’t feel like we were being watched every second. It was an amazing atmosphere and I wish every place operated with such care. Thanks so much for everything and we absolutely love your horses!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was perfect for my needs and just as described. Spent the night here March 26th en route from Alberta to Terrace. I liked the fact we were already past PG and not somewhere in a hotel in town. We had the Cowboy Cottage which provided a bedroom for both my boys and greatly reduced the chance of fighting come bedtime ;) . For two boys accustomed to subdivisions and video games it was a great experience to feed a horse out the bedroom window and just see a farm/ranch. Parking right at your door and having decent amenities on hand was a plus, and the owners were great; friendly and helpful, adding some extra welcoming touches. I think we were lucky to get this place, and I'm grateful that the owners are open to one night bookings and also that they've kept the price comparable to a hotel.
