About WJ Homestead Disc Golf
The course features 18 Innova DISCatcher baskets, with 2 pin placements on each hole, or you can also play to the original Homestead antique targets. Each hole also features 2 – 3 different tee boxes for different levels of challenge. The holes range from 130 ft to over 600ft. The course layout features a fair amount of elevation, tight wooded shots and a few open holes to really challenge the diversity of your game. The course boasts great biodiversity and wonderful scenic views.
We are open to Steward Members, we play host to tournaments for all level of disc golf experience, host periodic public days, cater to agricultural tourism, host school field trips and are open to private and corporate group bookings of 10 or more.
WJHDG is also a prime Alberta Agricultural Tourism and Disc Golf destination; for more information please refer to our Membership and Event page and/or contact us directly.
Playing the course, we recommend a good light hiking shoe, hat, plenty of water and snacks, sun screen and bug repellent. Dress for the changing weather (link on Home page). Help us maintain the pristine landscape by packing out what you pack in. We have a selection of discs for rent and sale on site at the bunkhouse by appointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Played this course for the second time today. One of the best courses in the Calgary area. Beautiful, challenging, and well cared for. Offers a different feel from the other courses in the area. You'll see elevation changes, tunnel shots through the woods, flex lines uphill -- a good variety of shots. Definitely put this on your list to play. Well worth the trip!
Visit their website for a membership or contact them through Facebook/Messenger. They ask you to notify them in advance for a visit but they were very responsive.
Other notes: DiscCatcher Baskets. Grass tee boxes but very playable. Multiple pin locations, and both short and long tee positions. It is on UDisc (I had to search for it by name), which helps when navigating the course the first time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite course! Beautifully maintained and challenging woods course with a bit of elevation change to keep things interesting. Membership is required but is worth every penny. If you do not have a membership I think you can do a drop in fee something like $10, but you may as well pay the single or family membership fee of $25 /$50. The is a bathroom facility and a little shop with discs for sale. Very quiet and In the middle of the foot hills and nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most enjoyable and scenic disc golf course in the Calgary area! Just a short drive from town, but away from the hustle and bustle. The front tees play short enough for our whole family to enjoy. We've seen deer, moose, a muskrat, hawks, and a bald eagle. Scenic views of the mountains on hole #6. Beautiful colors in the fall.
